Awesome man! I'll make sure to stay tuned. You always have the best strains and you obviously have alot of growing talent. Good luck, although i'm sure you won't need it!

Thanks folks, i'm glad there's many interested..

Deigo, nah, i didn't transplant before flower, i ended up flowering the 2 girls in those 2ish gallon trash cans.. They weren't rootbound, remember i started in 3" till sexed, then 6" then the 2 gal cans.. she was never rootbound, and just right imho.. thanks for the sunshine pics..

Something worth noting for all medium growers, growing in square pots in MUCH more efficient in terms of root growth/production.. In round pots the roots hit the sides then grow in a spiral down the sides of the pot, getting rootbound quite fast.. In square pots the roots hit the side of the pots and either 'terminate' (like topping a plant), which makes a whole bunch of fine feeder roots explode from the main root like branches.. Or the roots will hit the sides (if angled) and grow straight down, then terminating at the bottom.. the flat surfaces are the key.. I have grown in many, many dif pots, square and round, tons of strains, very small pots.. And the squares are always less rootbound and the plants are jus as healthy or healthier.. I find the roots in square pots use more of the actualy medium, where in round pots, only the outside edges are usualy used..

Anywho.. lets take a peek at the 2nd set of 5 beans i started...

These aren't the easiest plants to germ/start, as they definately, like dc, have a lack of vigor in some way.. I had problems with 2 of the 1st 5 i started aswell..

On this run 1 is a mutant, started with no real 'true' leaves, took a while to grow something.. I will keep this one only if it's female, and grow it for personal use.. It's of no use to me in this project..

Then one of the seedlines stalled out, kinda opening at soil level, and staying alive/green, and growing VERY slowly.. I've nursed this plant for a couple weeks now, and it is growing somewhat.. I think eventualy it will put down roots, and build up enough strength to straighten up and grow normally.. I've seen this happen before, but it never took so long to recover.. I think i can salvage it.. again, if it recovers and is female i will grow it. but it has no use to me in this project..

the other 3 are pretty healthy, and looking nice.. a lil underfed.. I'm still trying to dial this one in, i will admit she's not the easiest strain to grow. This type of strain is for serious indica lovers and breeders.. like Deep Chunk, people looking to grow easy to grow, fast growing, large yeilding plants, will not be happy. But I lives for shit like these plants, so i'm in heaven

And yes fj, i'll be sure to make some DCxPAKI, pretty soon actualy

Lookin good beancounter! The paki on the left is awesome looking. They're all definately thick indy's. The DC x Paki hybrid is going probably going to have leaflets 6" wide!

Too bad about the mutant. Are you sure its not a stem infection, it looks sort of brown...

Woah! Look at the size of those fans on the plant to the left.

Great job BC.

Yes, they should be something quite impressive.. in flower some of the fingers of the fans are almost 3" wide now!

I will get some close up shots soon, the stem on the mutant is 3-4x as wide as a normal stem, and it has petoiles/branches jutting out from all over the stem, non-semetrical.. interesting..

You mean on the last plant? I wouldn't clasify it as a mutant, simply a slow started/runt.. it has all it's normal leaves and what have you..

I don't think there's any infection, such as damp off, because the plant never stood erect then fell over.. it jus sorta fizzled out before straightening.. but unlike other seeds i've had fizzle, this one continues to grow, and is now growing it's 2nd set of true leaves.. the stem is still firm, and not soft/mushy in any way..

thanks for the interest guys, you gotta love the pure indicas

EDIT: and no, the pollen isn't flying yet.. my 2 fems are flowering away, slowly but surely.. it's another cabage plant, and takes some serious pruning to get light to the lower buds..

Remember, i'm going to grow ALL of my original PAKI IBL stock.. cull out any of the mutants/herms (if any) or problemed plants.. keeping clones/fathers of all healthy/selected females and males.. Once i'm confident with my selections (hopefully about 5-10 fem and 5-10 males) I will do a very large seed run, open pollination style.
