Cloning

I am useing a aroponics cloner for the 1st time with good results. My question is when transplanting them to soil how should i place the root ball in the median and how long should I wait till I take them out.

Today I tested a few transplants in 4 inch pots with fox farms oacean forrest. the root systems where around 8 - 10 inches long.

I like to make a hole for the roots, then fill it in over the roots a little, then tap on the sides of the container to get that medium to work its way around the roots, then add more soil and repeat until the roots are properly seated in the soil. Vibration is key for such xplants

With this in mind how namy roots should I have before transplaning? I waited on one till they were around 8 inches. I have a few now that are about 4 with good "webbing" finger roots. I have transplanted from roclwool cubes before right when I see the roots first appear through the cubes. So I know these are larger than the ones in the rock wool.
