I had planned on picking up another pack to insure me to get a good pheno, but from all the reports ive read in the last year here + other forums, i now wish i would have spent my $ on another Sag strain ! I doubt Sag will answer the reasons behind Stupe costing so much, cause it definity isn't because of quality (meaning not nowhere equivalent to Bubbleberry, Yumbolt, Peak19 nor Matanuska Tundra) but oh well... Peace |

howdy, one reason why some varieties cost more than others is because of the amount of research and developtment involved. for example stuporsonic originally came from a variety bred in the wild, this means the beans were from one or many females and and one or many males. we had to grow hundreds isolate the great ones re breed them and see what pops up. with this strain hermaphatism was prevelant. we did several breeding trials to rid the trait from this species. we did a great job, the reason she is still on board is because till this day is the best outdoor plant i have grown in holland. (taste, high and look) anyway i hope this info helps. indoor crops of stuporsonic seem to be more unstable than our outdoor grows.
peace tony and crew

Hi Tony thanks for the reply.
Got a discussion going on at another site about the SS. Some people are implying that the stock is OLD. Can you say how old or if you think there could be a germination problem with the stock. Thanks much. |

Not meaning to diss stuporsonic. Great outdoor performer at latitudes well below 60 degrees north. Strong, almost overpowering sativa high in the best phenotypes. When the strain was first introduced to finnish outdoors about 70% of the plants actually made it well before the frosts. Nice fruity smell
I remember banana flies getting stuck in the resin. I'm currently growing some stuporsonic x lr2 progeny. Most of em flowered on 24/0 Last edited by Thule; 01-12-2008 at 09:06 PM.. |

Years ago when Stuporsnic first came out I purchased a few packs from Sagarmatha Seeds. At the time I made a very big mistake, I grew out and made a huge amount of Stuporsonic F2's and sent them to C-Bay and I flooded the market with very inexpensive
F2's before Sagarmatha Seeds had much of a chance to make much money for the hard work they put in. I was amazed with this strain and only thought about sharing it with everyone, I didn't even want to make any money. I didn't think about how what I was doing to Sagarmatha was so very wrong and I still feel very bad about it but Stuporsonic is a amazing strain and the name says it all. Below is a copy paste from another post in this thread and it tells of the Stuporsonic that I and many of my friends remember it. Stash ""Stuporsonic is Sagarmatha's fastest flowering species so far. Developed by Swedish growers, this plant has acclimatized herself to a short outdoor season. Because she is able to withstand a cold climate and limited flowering period, she performs remarkably. Unlike many varieties that flower quickly, Stuporsonic provides a soaring, stratospheric high. Definitely the most potent outdoor plant (grown in Holland) we have had the pleasure of smoking. The flavour is sharp and spicy, giving the grower yet another admirable quality. With Stuporsonic you grow higher, faster plants, guaranteed to bring in your harvest before the competition. Relax and fly high with Stuporsonic. Flowering Time: 45 - 50 days indoors (early September outdoors). Height: 1 meter indoors (1.5-2 meters outdoors). Yield: 250 - 300 grams/m2... I grew this strain during the summer 2002. It lived up to all my expectations, and the claims of varios seed dealers. Very Awesome Strain. I grow in the northern US, in the east and I ended up harvesting at the end of the last week in August. The high is intense and a couple times after I smoked a few bowls I actually experienced mild hallucinations, such as colors and patters which were even more obvious when i closed my eyes. The flavor is also very nice, similar to the smell of ripe wild grapes. My buds were covered in tons of large crystals and I am by no means an expert grower. Matt-2004 "" __________________ |

I don't know why I stumbled on this very old thread now, but also didn't realize there was a great reply from last summer. Thanks! I still want to try this someday, and almost hate to say but wish I got a hold of some of those f2's!
The f1's are a little pricey for an outdoor strain, but from what I hear well worth it!
