The FBI appears to have begun using a novel form of electronic surveillance in criminal investigations: remotely activating a mobile phone's microphone and using it to eavesdrop on nearby conversations......

Nextel is always the next to tell. First they listen in on the phone calls. Then they remotely turn on mic then the camera. I also hear that soon they are for the first time ever going to record and save ALL internet activity.

I have a friend computer savy enough to do that to your computer mic I have not had a TV with a mic nor a mic hooked up to my computer since he showwed me what he could do .
That tears it I'm puttin my tin foil hat back on I dont care if i look stupid |

This is a fukt up invasion of our illusion of privacy, indeed...
It does seem unlikely for info to be accidentally discovered this way... Most likely used on persons already under investigation, and imho, if you're under investigation it's already too late...
