I'm posting because I have somewhat recently started a computer case micro grow. I've been updating it in the diary section, but I know not many people go in there.

I'm lookin for some input from people who have experienced micro growing, so feel free to check it out. I wish I could move my post here, but I dont know how. Thanks again.. here a couple of pics incase you don't have time to visit:

Foil.. i know, changing that in round two

lookin good. is that more just lst with a screen pushed over it or is it scrog?

It's LST with a screen sitting on top to keep (or attempt to) the occasional stray leaf from hitting the light / to keep the canopy even

everything looks straight. how many watts are u using? what are your temps? what strain? i like the hood setup

edit: looks cool, ive got some of those FRESH2 bulbs too... i run them in the room outside my cab. my vegbox stinks a lil bit, and this kills it pretty good. interesting problem with lack of headroom,,, i love that full canopy look tho... ive got to get some pics of mine up tomorrow... day 28 of flower!!

Specific details are all in the diary thread in the link near the top if your interested. I'll give a basic summary of the specs and course of events here though

I originally planned to do this with lowryders. I bought a pack of 10 seeds. All germinated, only 1 sprouted, and then it stopped growing.. Back to the drawing board.

I then ordered a pack of NL99 (Northern Lights x C99 by Joey Weed), manually cracked them, and threw them in moist paper towel and put them somewhere warm (~83-89f). Within 10 hours, roots had shown, and after 24 hours, they went into soil.



Setup:

Lights

The lights I’m using for this are a Longstar 105w, 5000k daylight spectrum CFL grow light, and a Fresh2 Titanium 23 watt, 2300k CFL. The second bulb comes coated with titanium dioxide which ionizes when the bulb is on and removes smell.




Soil & Nutrients

The soil is a store bought organic mix made of hummus, peat moss, compost, and pearlite. I plan to start using this 15-30-15 fertilizer i have at 1/4 strength about 2-3 weeks in.

Box

Here’s the grow box. It’s built inside a full tower ATX case that measures 24” tall. Two computer fans are used for circulation, with the exhaust vented through the hood / reflector in order to immediately remove heat from the case. The vent duct is the kind that easily stretches and compresses in order to accommodate the light being moved up as the plants grow. Its lined with...yes.. foil. This will be upgraded in round two

1.5 Days after going into the peat pots, 2 of them are up and away. I'll call this day 1.






Day 6 for the two on the right, day 4 for the two on the left:






1.5 weeks:

2.5 weeks:

One day later, spotted one male:



Day after that, two remaining are female:




4.5 / 5.5 weeks - bought a new bong ; flowering takes off

so how many days of 12/12 is that? looks nice. this fan looks cool on top of yer shade:


i assume it goes off with the light... maybe if you moved the fan to the side you could get a bit more headroom? maybe twin fans, mounted on the ends of the shade, one push one pull, and exhaust out the back?

that screen method looks good, tho.

Awesome looking setup, plants look great. Love that bong the most tho, my fav. Sea Salt and Denatured Alcohol (home depo/lowes) the only way to get her clean, so much shit will build up in the percs it'll be hard to hit, that is if you smoke her nonstop like i do!

ps. wherd you get those crazy smell reducing cfls?
