Hey all,
I have a space between my grow closet and the wall which is 1" wide 3" high 2" deep. I want to use this small space to keep my mother in once I get rolling.



My lighting options with prices are :
150W MH - $122 USD
115W or 125W CFL - $85 USD
Which do yall think i should get......
I am a bit worried that the MH would create a bit of a heat problem in such a small place but then again it might come in handy in the future after we move to a bigger place.
But the CFL's are cheaper and dont need the ballast or a strong fan I was thinking I could get away with pc fans.

One more thing,how many fluros or cfl's would i need in a small clone space.
about 1"ft high 1"ft wide and 2"ft deep. I wouldnt have more then 10 clones in it at a time.

I vote for cfl - but even smaller than the sizes you listed.

A couple of 42w in a mother box should be plenty

*edited* Ohhhh ok then. Hmm, well cfls can be sufficient without the concentrated heat output of a metal halide bulb...but you'll get better penetration with a metal halide. What I'd do is use flouros for clones and a mh light for mothers cuz mothers will end up growing bigger (I hope!) and will need the better penetration.

ok just got back from Lampa Magisinet ( the lamp store in english)
and i bought two 15 watt fluros for the clones and ive ordered a 125W CFL veg light for the mother...cant wait to get em going. now all thats left is too wait for my fan and hps to arrive and i can finish the building and put it all together. woohoo

cfl's are perfect for mom room's. if you want to get the mom's growing good for a batch of clone's sprinkle some blood meal on top of the soil and water a week or two before you wanna take clone's. they will take off in growth. you can also use less nutrient's to stop the mom's from growing alot when you dont want them too. this wil allow you to keep them in the same size container's for longer without having the trim leave's and root's to keep them down to size.

my fan came today woohoo its much larger then i thought it would be and im tryin to figure out a way to incorporate an Odor Neutralizing machine in my ducting...
