SOG Growers, I need your advice!

Hello fellow forum users

I am planning a SOG grow, which is when you harvest lots of small plants quickly rather than a few large plants over a longer period of time. (Hopefully you know that if you clicked this thread)

Anywayyyyss....

My plan is to skip the 18/6 vegetative stage and just go straight into 12/12 flowering stage once the seed sprouts or clone roots.

I've seen a few 12/12 from seed grows and they finish at 1.5 to 2 feet tall with a 1/2 oz on them, not a bad yield for the time and size.

My question is, How tall will clones get when finished if I put them directly into 12/12 flowering once they root? (NO VEGING)

AND

Will it yield the same? 1/2 oz?

Oh, incase you need some more info here ya go...
Medium: Soil, Perlite mix
Nutrients: Organics, Earth Juice product line
Light: T5 Flourescent, 4000+ lumens per square foot. Lights hung very close to plants of course
Strain: Indica - short and compact

Won't really be putting any CO2 in, it's a micro grow.

Thanks,

I've seen lots of chat re: 12/12 seeds and clones right away. Stretch depends on type sativa vs indica, and strain.

Some swear by it, but it's fairly controversial. I'm tryin' this gro.

depends on what indica. They're not all the same. Obviously the average indica is shorter than the average sativa, but there are tall indicas and short sativas. SO giving the actual name of the strain might help you get some good specifics.

no, they might not yild a 1/2 ounce each. they could yield more or less, depending on how you grow them. It sounds like this is your first grow and you're using fluoros (nothing wrong with them, just can take more work for a good yield) so If I were you I wouldn't expect too much, but i don't know. the more details the better. You might have a really high yielding indica variety that likes that kind of light.

not tryin to bash ya in any way, i apologize if it sounds like that. im really interested to see how this will go. just give more details so we can give more help

Well i dont know exactly what strain but a few in my list of choices...

Federation Mikado (Sweet Pink Grapefruit) https://www.drchronic.com/products.asp?recnumber=1221
Mandala Hashberry https://www.mandalaseeds.com/html/hashberry4.html
Mandala Sadhu https://www.mandalaseeds.com/html/sadhu1.html

They are supposed to be short plants I believe, and high yielders. I am really trying to get 1/4 oz (7 grams) per plant but a 1/2 oz would be nice. Just asking really, thanks for your input, and no I don't take offense to it I know your not bashing.

It's not my first grow only my second or third

And as far as the lights, flourescents, go... i hear ya but they are T5 high output flourescents, they put out 50% more light than a normal flourescent per watt I believe. They are 20 lumens per watt short of HPS i think. And I will be mixing the spectrum 50/50 to get the best effect. But yeah HPS would be better, but so much heat damn! It scares me I don't want a fire and I don't want exhaust fans being noisy etc

chronictoker,

cool, yeah they probably wont get any bigger after day 33
how big were the ones you didn't veg? do you know?

what do you usually yield on those 2 footers that you veg for 3 weeks?

are those 1 gallon grow bags? or biggeR?

are they sativa or indica?

if it's an indica dominant clone and it goes straight in to 12/12 it will flower automatically and usually end up rather small in size. if your using clone's i suggest you veg a week. if your using seed's i suggest you pick a mom and wait for rooted clone's. it will be alot easier. just remeber shove as many plant's under you bulbs as possible. 1/4 per is abosulutely achievable. so if you have 20 or 30 plant's you would be doing great. but this all depends on how much room you have and wattage. good luck man. sog is deffiently one of the smarter ways of growing.

you say you have 4000 lumens per sqaure foot. how many square feet?
also how many 2 liter bottle's can you fit on the floor of your grow area? a 2 liter bottle is a good sized sog container. mainly it's thin so more plant's but it's tall, which usually doesnt matter because sog is pretty low in height.
