Here are my two OD's at day 11. The one on the left is a bit further along in growth and root development. Lookin' forward to this smoke for sure.

Are you still getting rid of seeds? If so give me a PM.

I have been noticing that Rez's ECSD-based lines are very sensitive to growing conditions... one wrong move and you have a herman. I have read that all NYCD-based lines are very sensitive to growing conditions. I believe this has to do with the NYCD having hermie tendencies because all NYCD progeny is from a selfed clone. Maybe annac bred this tendency out of NYCD? Maybe the cross of cali orange/skunk #1 improved the progeny and all but eliminated this tendency?

My question is for the growers who have grown and harvested Orange Diesel:

1. Did you have any hermaphrodites? If so, what was your male/female/herm rate? Did you notice anything causing hermies except for the usual (light leaks, high temps, too high/low nutes, over watering, insects)?

2. Were all of your growing conditions perfectly dialed in? Did your plants ever get stressed yet not produce any hermies? I think this is probably the most valuable information. Comments from growers familiar with OD like "I had temps in the mid 80's and no herms" would be much appreciated.

BTW, I have five little seedlings basking in the sun right now. Can't wait to see these babies grow!

Here's a quick update on my two OD's, now at day 30 of their lives in soil. I will probably let them go another couple weeks.

Edit: Since this morning, both plants have shown pre-flowers, and both are chicks.

I germinated 5 orange diesel beans and all 5 have turned into very nice plants. I must say, Orange Diesel is one of the most vigorous and easiest to start of anything that I have ever grown. For comparison, I have a Joey Weed C99 that is about a month older than my OD's and they are the same size! Also, whereas my C99 is not doing so hot (looks like possible PH nutrient lockout) , all of my Orange diesels are 100% strong and green. They were all in the same medium (85% perlite/ 15% soil) and given the same nutrients.

This is why I originally bought the OD from seedbay... I had never seen plants that looked as healthy and full and bushy as those in Verite's pictures and these babies seem to be no exception! It reminds me of the structure seen in BOG's work. So far, I am 100% satisfied. Thanks a lot Verite!

sweet man, sending overnight payment for some of these OD tomorrow

anyone done topping or cloning of these? how'd they respond?

Im expecting to run 10 of them, who knows, maybe all, along with something else, small or freebie, under 2 400s, should be fun

The 15 seeds thing stems from past frustrations with other strains/vendors. More times than I can count I would be halfway thru growing a new strain and commented how much better it would have turned out if I only had 5 more seeds. 50% better chance to work the m/f/germ ratio, get a decent female, or better yet that killer male.
I agree, thanks for that. It also made the purchase a lot more appealing, I think by selling 12 or 15 seeds definately makes some people lean towards that pack in those many cases where they're trying to decide between two different strains where one pack only has 10, plus they feel better about the purchase because they're getting more bang for their buck.

Plus the price was good too, I got mine for US$60 off seedbay so that's just $4 per seed, even I can afford that and i won't have to go without pizza this week either

I've got one 12 days into veg at the moment, just waiting for a flower pot to free up (~2 weeks away) so I can put her into flower, fingies crossed for a femme!

PS. Can somebody please tell me what the approx flowering times are for the Orange Diesel phenos? Many thanks
