Just got all the bits to start my first micro grow...
Firstly i,d like to thank all those who post thier micro grows. You've given me an invaluble resource to set up my own thing. Thought I'd start this thread so you guys can maybe steer me right. Building the cab tomorrow, i,ve gutted out a large pc case with an internal space of H24" D15" W7". I plan on boarding it out on the inside with a thin ply that i've already backed with mylar. Then fitting a 125watt envirolite accross the top, below that on the back i'll fit a 120mm silent pc fan leading to a carbon filter. Their will also be an 80mm fan at the bottom at the front of the case bringing fresh air in. Any one have any pointers letme know!!! I think i'll be going with a SWC system. I allready have a very quiet air pump and stone. I bought 5litres of ice-cream last weak 'cause it came in a matt black rectangle tub that will just sit beautifully in the bottom of the pc case. Anyway, having force fed myself ice-cream for the last 6 days i,d better jog to the garden centre for the net pots. I'm thinking 3" does that sound about right? Im just planing on 2 plants to see me through. Not sure which set of nutes to use yet!! Anyone have any advice on which ones suit my setup. Any help is much appreciated..... |

Actually I just realized what I said was wrong. Just expect to move the plants close to the light early on and further away as they get older.

Thanks Budless
I was considering putting a couple of e40 lamp holders in at different heights. But it makes alot more sense just to raise and lower the plants.. Keep em coming..... |

looks like a great setup and should produce nicely. as for nutes, im using the botanicare pbp veg and grow along with liquid karma. i like them cause it is like 98%(?) organic which is nice and i still get the advantages of hydro. if you can, get their hydroguard, calmag, clearex, and sweet to go along with the basics. i have yet to try these but mr. micro has had great success with the extras. keep us updated with progress!

Thanks for the info tngreen
I had a quick search for botanicare and i can't find it for sale in the uk. Unless it is sold under a different brand. Any other nutes that would be suitable in this small bubbler ? |

Your cab is looking great so far! I might just build something like this for a veg chamber
![]() What carbon filter are you planning to use? I built my own for my current first grow using the micro can carbon filter schematics in this thread: https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.p...0&page=2&pp=15 and so far it's been working pretty well. |
