hi there, in my local grow shop, the propieter has been trying to push this new medium on me, i am planning an ebb and flow bucket set up, ala HOG. DIt is called "Dialhydro" its 1005 silica, and it sez its formed from millions of yr old lifeforms. is it any good, does any1 have experience of it? will it be good for this set up like HOG's. thanx harry

Algae, sorry, i meant millions of yrs old FOSSILISED lifeforms, , as i say, its algae. my local hydro shop is owned by the guy who came up wi using fish as a nutrient supply, Aquaponics, its in his store, called Eye1der as in i wonder, backwrds it is red eye, they run the red eye pipe company too, the 1 that makes the ""amazed"" pipe. anyway, its him who has some but the website of his store isnt working properly,
