hello Everyone.
Montels Pride is back under a very limited release of 5 packs. DG will be releasing them shortly.

The base strain I used began with a Oaxacan landrace strain(mexican Sativa) that I have been growing since the late 80's. I took a female and crossed it to a male AK47. I stabliized it by breeding the seeds back to each other. I took those seeds and chose my best male & female from the grow and pollinated again. I repeated the process one more time to Soma's # 10 Lavender. From those seeds I picked a male and female and bred it to each other once more. It is one of the fastest growing (mostly)sativas I have ever had the opportunity to grow.

cooler climates will bring on a color change in MP.

Hey there AnnaC hope all is well.

I have a couple of Montell's Pride x NYCD going and are at 4 1/2 weeks. They look great. Very stocky and a rather squat plant. Looking forward to getting to flower and smoke some of your cross.

Hey there gronnh20. Sure I'll give ya a shot of the Montell's

Don't know if it's a female yet but sure looks like one to me

Stands about 10in and is about 5 weeks old. The wife picked this one out. with my approvell.

nice job there frog.
as you know by now...the MP x NYCD can get a little bushy. She will make up for it during 12-12 and stretch like crazy. One of the IC members "Legit_user" grew one out over 6+' tall in a greenhouse environment. I can't find the image anywhere but she was a beauty. I have a Montels Pride mother in veg right now and I am going to duplicate the whole x NYCD project again.

no seriously...one of my goals this run was to achieve sensimilla...i came close so far...

so, i was looking at trichomes this noontime, and the Montel's Pride X NYCD are done to my liking!

here are some pictures.
they are rock solid buds and they are heavy...

there were 3 plants 2 of one 'type' (purple) and one of the other 'type' (not purple, with red stems)...
after 'haircut'

second plant...same drill. after haircut...

left a little on each one...

i like to trim the buds while still 'wet'...less mess and the trimmings fall right into a tray where they are easily collected to be run through the tumbler...
i got a nice tray full of crystal coated leaves and a nice tray of smaller buds and some popcorn...

you know, the good kind of popcorn!

i will update the rest of the harvest as we progress...i think the NLxBB will be next...

i will also retake a bunch of these pictures with something to show scale...sorry...the big buds here are about the length of my forearm

thanks for the update and images. It looks like you got both phenos. Did you get a spicy taste from the purple pheno when you tried it?

Frog whether or not its male or female that is a very nice and healthy plant. Womans intuition you might want to go with it.

Annac I haven't seen any of your gear yet that I would kick out of bed. I have some of the Biko so I will get to it very soon.

i don't recall...i'll vape some later and let you know...its had a nice cure and should be getting pretty tasty!

Nice looking buds there Sleepy!! How's the smoke? The high?
Also want to say thanks for getting me to try the T-5's , there working out great. Love the way they get my clones looking better than they ever have.
With the Montel's , how tall would you say I should let the clones get before putting in the flower room? How bad is the strech?
