Help, I can't turn my grinder.
Hello all,
Oh, I must be getting old- its so hard to run the grinder anymore with my hands......I must invent a power grinder. Damn- youth is so foolishly wasted on the young. That is all. minds_I

In the United States, under our Constitution, a free press is a check on politicians of all parties. If we are to demand that other countries respect the tradition of a free press we must also practice that here at home. Let the people know the facts, and the country will be safe. |

I have 2 grinders, 1 is wooden & 1 is metal. The wooden 1 got used so much that the 'nails' started loosening, so I got a nice metal 1.
I've noticed the same thing, though. It was getting really difficult to turn, so I put a drop of 3-in-1 oil around the inner part & just kept turning it until the thing got nice & lubed. Twists & turns smooth as silk now. Try 1 or 2 drops of 3-in-1 oil on the inner part & your days of twisting will be as smooth as Chubby Checker's. |

Oh damn POMH, I didn't know we were roasting minds_I.
![]() Lol, a good coffee grinder, like a nice small one that can chop instead of obliterate the weed into saw dust is good. Well sawdust is good if you have a hookah or a big waterpipe. I know what you mean though! I actually broke the screen on my hand grinder, now I gotta go procure another one.....

Zoltron, don't use that 3 n 1 on something you ingest. It is not meant for that. It is light machine oil not intended for human consumption.
First use a q-tip and rubbing alcohol to clean away the gummed resin and then use a drop a veggie oil or olive oil for lube. Safe and works great. If the resin is real thick I use scissors or a sharp knife to carefully scrape it away (into my joint). I've heard those aluminum grinders shave off tiny aluminum particles into your weed. Aluminum is pretty soft. I have a wood Sweatleaf and it is great.
