do you think i will be able to get a decent yield with only using a 70w hps and about 125w of CFLs?

id say you can get 2 zone plus? perhaps more..grow in a large (ive had sucess with 3 gal buckets, soil)container and lst or scrog..focus all your energy and light on one plant.. i see alot of micro growers spreading their limited light resources over numberous plants(i guess for variation) and i think its a mistake.or they lst to late when the plant has already started to flower.or they wait till the plant is 2 big and difficult to train.i lst at six inches, and i dont veg very long(usually like 30 days, i should go 40).i always end up with a bush by the time i hit 30 days.thats why you see micro plants looking scrawny and yielding like 10 grams. like my second grow i got about a ounce off 2 42w.. single plant grow lsted,3 gal bucket. with the wattage your pushing you can break the 2 zone mark easy.. this is from my personal experience and others may differ. but i think youll be cool on the yield factor as long as you dont limit your root space and if you train early.. hope that made sense..kinda buzzed. peace.

What's a decent yeild? Smoke for one person should be very do-able. I got almost enough to make me happy out of a 70W alone in the flower chamber.

^^that also.. i personally would be happy with a ounce of top notch herb..that would last awhile for me..it sucks cuz i have a 400 w hps but cant really use it atm.. even when i move to my apt i still wouldnt feel at ease using it..i could make a 400w hps yield last me like 6 months.. and thats getting stoned daily,thru out the day.

To get the most weed with those lights I would use the cfls for veg and the hps for flower. That way you get more harvest per year and you always got something going. If you could set up a small Mum in the veg area you could take clones and that would also cut down on your turn around time = more weed! That could supply you and a buddy if you are not heavy smokers. Also get a good strain, a lil good bud last longer than a pound of crap.

If you yeild .5 grams per watt, which is a pretty good yeild for a micro grow using cfls you will easily get over an ounce or two. The trick is honing in on the strains, find out what she likes, take care of her, and after a few runs, she is yours. If it is your first grow dont expect huge results, always leave room for error. Grow on!
