I had a mutant pog that came in a pack about 5 years ago( before tfd took pog of the market) it has to be the easiest strain I have grown yet. It didn't compete with sour d or the calikushes in the flavor department but it did taste really sweet like hash/black licorice. The high and yeild is where it beat sd and the kushes. she will definitely give you couch lock and is a form of instant pain relief and I was pulling over 1 1/4 lbs per 1kw in my second harvest ever. I'm considering getting another pack to see what I can do with her now.
I definitely recommend pog. It is a great medicine. I just wouldn't consider it a coniseur strain like the sd or cali kushes. they are two different types of weed. |

dontlockyouup: I agree POG is not really comparable to those "super weeds" you mention. On the other hand, though, its' virility must not go unnoticed. I find that both super weeds, and the "others" have their pluses and their minuses.
POG, is a winner because it is an easy to grow strain. A strain, which BTW makes one want to smile each time they look at it. I'll tell ya'll why....I love Kush....I don't love it for its' high. I love it for it's look...those big fat beautiful green leaves that suck up Nitrogen like it's going out off style. The form, the branching....those leaves....OMG I'll smoke my Sativas any day [and probably all day], but when I go to a grow room I wann'a see a nice big Kush plant growing somewhere in there. POG is one of those ladies that makes me wanna throw my hands in the air and say... I'm happy to be alive so I could see this beautiful plant. enough rant Minuses- possibly may not fit an experienced palate, which has been fine tuned to the rarer things in life.. but it might...it's like with chicks...they're all different...as is taste Classic Indica high- some may not like; others may crave HK X Skunk #1- umm, it's a classic with a classic.... no need for surprises here.. a very stable plant with a very stable plant- this should leave room for growroom error. I think we get the point. Vigorous and high yielding with strong resistances of many kinds: mold, mite, thrips, high temp, and soggy medium...just give it enough N in growth but taper off fairly quickly in bloom and POG will do the rest. Hgypsna: As far as the mold resistance goes, I'm a soil manic, and can say there have been no problems there, as long as adequate ventilation is used: one m3/h per each watt of light. It is the TFD version. This also counts for the thrips and mite resistence. In hydro- I remember seeing POG in Krusty's crazy bucket system vertical mega donkey show, those buds must have been bigger than my head, and I could actually feel the dampness of the room through the computer screen. Krusty reported no problems as long as the ventilation was good. Been lookin' for that thread...it's old, though. Might'a been the first of the recent TFD POG, Might'a not. Nice pictures banana man, I like the look of those dark pistils. Keep it cheesy..... |

I've only once tasted Pot of Gold, to me it was pretty "social" smoke, not so tired-weed. I give 8/10

oh POG oh POG, for you I thank the Ganja God[/QUOTE] I'm on your side for this one POG is a lovely Indica sweet, hashy, phat, easy, pretty and makes full melt squidge easy on dry screens try it if u don't beleive me! Sams Kush with Sams Skunk F1 Hybrid how can it be bad?I like all phenos in it but skunkier one has nicest buzz & best hash, had it in our crew since it came out and its one of 5 strains that 6 fussy growers have kept over lots of years and about 150 diff stains.Long Live The Pot of Gold! POG is Hindu Kush x Skunk I believe? Maybe NL? Been along time since I looked into it. Ive had it before, was reasonable smoke. Not the best, but good enough for sure.
