when is a seedling no longer a seedling?

i have less lighting in my cab so the seeds arent overwhelmed but am curious whne to add all 8 cfls for vegging...is it based on the number of nodes? true leaves? ive got 2 pplants in my cab but dont know if i should swithc the ligthing yet as one is still only with one set of true leaves...would it be ok to add more lights? the first plant has the roots coming threw the bottom of a beer cup so im assuming this isnt a seedling anymore...and might need transplanting

Yo Darren - thanks for asking, and Unicorn - thanks for the quick answer... I was wondering this myself! My "seedlings-now-plants" have recovered quite nicely now: BIG thanks to sproutco and friends!

I've just transplanted to 6" pots also... good luck, Darren. One x-plant went very smoothly for me, the other not quite as smoothly, but OK. Time will tell!

Yeah, here you go - taken today, just after transplant into 6" pots:

...Ironically, my White Widow looks a bit "saggy" here, it's been the stronger of the 2, both the WW and the Northern Light had a bout of "too much love" - I over-watered them, and they got quite yellow. I started an Infirmary thread because of my difficulties, you can see it here >>> https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=40548

Your girls look like they're thriving... great job, Darren!!!

Seedlings are no longer seedlings after a few weeks (2-3 weeks). When they start growing good then they are in veg mode.
