Exclamation 1st Micro Grow... need help..

so a spot opened up at a buddies house and we decided to do a micro grow because of space and stealth constrictions.
This is the 1st one we have attempted and since its about to be winter this is about our only option.
we plan to use (4) 100 watt cfl's that put out 1600 lumens per light. we just got the Y splitters and will mount them through a top that will encolse the box. and paint the inside white

heres a few pics of the box.. it is 19x19 in and 18 in deep.. its basiclly a square. The top is open, and this is where we will mount a top with the lights (horizontally to maximize grow space) and prolly exhaust fans (im thinking (2) computer fans) with passive intakes cut into the sides of the box near the bottom. we will also try and squeeze another fan in to put some breeze on the ladies.

the way i picture it we will have 4 plants with about 15-16 inches to grow TOTAL...

so what do you guys think?
how big should my pots be.... one gal? 3/4 gal? prolly square so we can fit them nice
scrog? or just lst?
what do you guys think about space restrictions?
any ideas and comments will help
peace out and Blitz On bitches

first off those lights arent 100W they are only 23 watts...they just equal that amount of an incandescent...for 4 plants youll need alot more than that to get anythign worth growing...i grew with poor lighting and got crap for yeild...id go to walmart and buy about 6 42 watters and 6 20-26 watt daylgiht bulbs....everything else is good tho

ok no doubt, they just make about a million types of cfls (very confusing).. thats why i figured i'd ask

darren- why buy 20-26 watters when i could just go right to the 42watters?

and i think i can only fit 4 lights on the top of the box without constricting space... will 4 be ok or do i need 6?

To save head room, you might want to bust apart some desk lamps and use flat ones.

Are you going to have a separate veg and flower chamber?

How about ventilation? Put the box up on some little legs, intake from the bottom and put one or a couple 12cm PC fans along the top back edge.

here's the lights in a hood, which fits 87 Watts into a pretty small space.

grow, baby!

Duggy- i think the coiled lights will be ok if i just put them horizontally against the top of the box.. im going to get the ones darren reccomended tomorrow
i def. going to go with the passive intake and the fans at the top...
and i think i am going to go with one chamber for now.. and go from seed
Peace

you would use the daylight bulbs to veg and the 42 watters to flower...4 could work...just never had that little bulbs for that many plants

Mix your spectrum of lights using both warm and cool white bulbs. You should do this in both veg and flower.
