Out of 10 seeds I got a couple really nice females.Some of them showed mutation from the start.Twisted,crinkled leaves.When you flower them sometimes they snap out of it.These are fairly small Indicas,they remind me of FLO in growth.Not a huge yeilder but there may be better phenos and topping will help.If I grew them agian I'd give them some extras veg time.Everyone I grew went deep purple no matter what the temperature.The color really comes on at 6-7 weeks.My finish times ranged from 53-67 days.
The buds are dense and covered in frost.It has a kind of musky/grapy/blueberry flavor but a little curing helps bring out the flavor.The bud has a very nice Indica stone,a very kind head.Again in this area reminds me of FLO.
If you are an intermediate to advanced grower and are looking for a nice colorful Indica for your garden this may be just what you're looking for,just take your time and do't expect every one to be a keeper.

I was thinking about this strain this morning, I love purple tasty indicas.

Thx for reposting that, JLP!

Seems one really has to fish thru DJ's latest to find a keeper, but the keepers are ridiculously good!
I appreciate how tempered your reviews are in contrast to Jason King's musings on these strains. The actual grower's words ring alot truer to me.

does grape kush have a grape taste or do they say that b/c of the purple in it or is it like a blueberry taste.

They smell very much like grape Nehi when flowering. They lose most of this flavor at harvest. However, if you dry them properly and give them a decent cure, the grape will come back. Not overpowering by any means, but a definite grape flavor.

Yeah,it has kind of a grapy flavor.I didn't really get to smoke a lot of it,I entered most of it in the '05 IC mag cup and I gave some to King for the CB3,there wasn't much left over.It's a little fussy but it sure is pretty.

that looks great JLP,reminds me of some shisksberry i had bout 6yeas ago. it had more of a musky/strawberry flavor,real happy smoke.looked just like it.
