Finish Flowering in 5 weeks - Possible?

So i have my first grow going on right now, they have been vegging for about 4 weeks now and look pretty good in my inexperienced opinion, the issue however is that i need them to be done by Dec 15th or else i dont know what im going to do as im not going to be able to take care of them for 3 weeks. maybe i can move them to a friends place, but best would be if i could finish them somehow.

Is it possible to finish flowering from now till Dec 15th? Should I switch them immediately? i wanted to wait till Nov 10th, originally.

They are under about 200w of CFL.

Also I havent even been able to sex them yet..

Here is one of them

Hi!

Well, it doesn't look very bushy or tall, after four weeks it should look bigger than that. It looks mighty healthy though.

I think what you need is either bigger pot or more soil, and definatley more perlite. It looks as if you only filled the bucket 60%? I can't tell by the picture though.

I would give it to a friend or (I would...) start from scratch when you get back. Most poeple's plants die when they hand them over to a friend who has not cared for them. Unless he grows too, your best bet is to start over, if you try to harvest early you wont really get anything after a little over 30 days of flowering, it is the last 2-3 weeks where your plants really fatten up.

If it was me, I would rather leave them for 3 weeks than cut them that early. There are many ways to auto water while you are gone, can you leave the lights at 12/12? Do they have adequate ventilation?

I agree with Fuzzy, you should repot and add soil and lots more perlite. That is 4 weeks from seed?

Im in a similar situation, need to be done by the 14th of December but by that time I'll have 7 weeks flower (supposed to be 9 for this Strain) If I cant figure out a way to water them automatically, I was thinking I could harvest early, freeze the buds and dry them when I come back? Does anyone know if this would work?

7 weeks is a lot closer than 5. I am not sure about freezing wet buds....hhmmm someone else will have to address that. But if you want to harvest why not cut it and leave it hanging while you are away?

less light more dark = finishing faster...lets say 8 on 16 off..for 40 percent faster finishing and 40 percent less yield excuse me if my math is off or something like that...peace

Freezing wet buds could possibly work, however when you take them out to dry you definatley need to have a VERY complete drying system. I would advise some sort of quick drying such as oven or heater in the room, and definatley a dehumidifier. Your basically freezing all the liquids into ice and then melting them, where as if it were straight cut all teh liquids would be in teh appropriate places reasy to dry.

As Piece mentioned 7 weeks is a HUGE difference when it comes to flowering. If this is the case you really only need to go to a mx of 10 weeks. If you could get a RELIABLE friend to water it, that would be best the last weeks of flowering are very important. Also I agree with peice, hang them while your gone. Or if you harvest early, dry them before you leave then take them with you and cure it wherever you are going (very easy process).

There's also been a few journals of someone doing their light schedule as 6h40m on, and 12h off, repeating over and over cut off a significant amount of time. I can't find the thread right now, but it was just mentioned in another thread somewhere.

Im going for 3 weeks, would it be bad to leave them hanging for that long? I can leave them in my cabinet and turn down my fan a bit. They would be in total darkness..
