Worked out great, I got a Leviton plug last night and fixed it up. Might be hard to see but here is a progress shot of my box:

If you look on the right side of the box (in the left photo) you can see 2 black circles, one above and one below the shelf - that is the extension cord I was working with.

The wires are still quite unorganized so don't mind the tangled looking mess, I may end up shortening a couple others, still trying to figure out the best arrangement for the wires and power strips.

But anyway, thanks a lot for the help! Safety is vital!
