HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY!!!!!! !!!!

After seeing Mr_Micro newest setups I thought myself: I MUST go hydro.
So I asked him for guidelines and, as usual, he wrote a LOT.

I've read everything you sent Micro, THANKS A LOT!! You da man!

CMEMORYO SWC:

What you see:

2 kitchen buckets (green ones, guess why)
2 NON net pots (f*ck, I went everywhere looking for net pots, couldnt find)
1 bag of Hydrotron pellets
2 meters of 1/4 tubing
1 PH tester, cheap version
1 PH up conditioner - Alcali (they didnt have ph down, and I found out I need it)
1 Air Pump 1,2W up to 40 Liters
1 big fert solution for water
2 air regulators
1 block of rockwool weirdo thing

Now the nominees:

Pots #2

PH tester and Alcali to reduce acid

Air pump 1,2 watt, up to 40 liters and black tubing

Air regulators I wont use now:

Hydroton clay pellets

cheapest airstones they had, bag of 2:

NICE green kitchen trash

Is this plant grow any good?

So, I took a philips screwdriver, heated it on the oven and placed holes on one of the pots.

IT AINT BEAUTIFUL, BUT I AINT NO WOMAN that needs beauty. ("These shoes kill my feet, but they're latest fashion and my girlfriends at work envy it").

Cut the kitchen trash lid, did it many times till it fit the way I wanted:

BE careful huh, you dont want to lose a finger with this sharp tool.

It went a lot more down in the lid than this.

TEST TEST
SOUND, 1, 2, 3, (bubbles)

Washed the pellets heavyly as Mr_Micro told me to:

Forgot to take pics of this seedling I had. I put it on a lil piece of rockwool, placed it in the middle of the pot and filled up with more pellets.

thanks for stopping by.
I wanted it to be a tutorial, but I am all newbie at this.
I saw Dr. D tutorial and thought it missed a few things on pics and whatnot.
Maybe this can encourage some other people.

I have questions: that seedling was on soil.
Will that be a problem now? I took some soil and placed with it on the rockwool.

How up should the water go? Mine reached all the holes I made, so that would measure 40% of the bottom of the cup, not reaching the rockwool I think.
Is that ok?

Few things I have learned (by myself or from others)

- The water container (my green trash buckets) should be painted, not clear (transparent). If you have lights coming in, you will have algae. You dont want that.
Paint it with black spray on the outside. (Mr Micro advice)

- Test the air pump before you leave the store, so you will know how much noise it produces

- Tap water here is alkaline. I took water from 3 diff sources and they're all alkaline.

- Be a LOT careful with cutting tools. Fortunately, nothing happened to me.

- READ other posts to learn before you do, ASK away!!

- Most of the things I bought at the pet store, not including the buckets that came from supermarket.

- Dont mess with electricity while you're wet (nothing happened to me either)

Hey snider!

Great tutrial!! No what you should do right now is take it out wash all the soil off GENTLY! Its fragile and clean that out. Soil in hydro is bad and can cause major problems. At first put the water level to bottom of ur pots so the bubbles can wet the roots of the seedling.. mabye a bit higher cuz your pot is quite big but don't submerse the roots in water yet. Its still very young and needs a decent root system so it can uptake air threw the roots witch arent submersed. Don't feed her yet either as shes to young for any ferts. just ph adjusted water. great work tho!

- very very lil soil came with it. Nothing to harm I think
- water is not at root level
- I put 2 drops of food on the water
- water is alkaline right now (7,0), and I dont have the thing to make it neutral

I went to bed and thought she'd be reaching the sky now.
Actually I feel I dreamt about it. High yield.

She doesnt seem to be ok. Maybe I shouldnt have transplanted.
Once born on soil, leave on soil?
Did I do it wrong?
