Sweet tooth #3 had about 30% germ rate
Of all the strains I tried the last few weeks -- probably germed 100 - 150 seeds, only the Sweet tooth #3 had this lousy of a germ rate. Everything else was about 95%!! What the heck is going on? How old are those beans?

Here's a thread right here, if you'd have done a search you'd have found it, Swt #3 is still exhibiting excellent germ rates.....take a look: https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=40190

They are old and you were unlucky some people get pretty good germ ratios with them or so I hear.
What else did ya pop razer I love to hear about what strains interest others.

i think its just luck of the draw on the sweet tooth seeds....i knew they were old, i was just hopin they werent too old,....just did a pack of princess diesel and got 80%... but 2 of the 3 swt#3 that did come up for me look fantastic!! much better than these princess diesels so far..... |

When I've culled all the non-performers and harvested them, I'll do a blind smoke test to see what's the best. I think too many people have a 'growers' bias when it comes to testing their own weed. Look for it around X-mas time, I guess, at least round one. So far in veg, my favorite is a freebie from Doc Chronic called Trouble maker, only because it's the most vigorous, shortest nodes, and happens to be a tri-foliate. I have my eye on this one. |

Try using distilled water in a thick paper towel- get it damp but not too wet. Put in plastic baggie and then carefully put in your pocket to keep warm for 2 or 3 days - then take a look

I've gone through 2 packs of these and have had good success germinating them by soaking the seeds in water overnight then putting them straight into soil.

I think it's just luck of the draw bro...We had 9 out 0f 10 germ recently..
The stock is a little older but certainly not "old".......All the seeds are kept in fridges at Seedbay and seeds that I have had there since the beginning are still germing at 100% or close according to buyers... Whenh seeds ha ve a little age they just need to be germed with care...Really fresh seeds will germ even in fair or worse conditions... You have to treat others well and don't let your enviromental conditions spike high or low... Treat em' with kid gloves and it will work out.. For the price you can afford to try again...And the genetics are killer.. The small one pictured has an incredible sweet pink grapefruit odor!!!Intensely strong!!!!!!!! Take care and good luck........................CC Also as clearcutter stated, soaking your seeds in distilled water overnight will soften the shell and allow for an easier germination... I usually go about 24 hours but no more...... I put mine in paper towels from here for another 1 to 4 dayd depending on how stubborn the seed is...Or you can plant directly in your medium of choice after the soak.... Last edited by Capt. Normally, I have a success rate of 90% or so, and that's being very modest. Often I get 100%, so 30% means there is a big problem. It's not my method, it's the seeds. I've germed too many seeds at 90%+ to get this ratio.
