LUI/etc was looking perfect until the choppers
Well I tried to pull some really nice LUI's outdoors but the choppers got em all.
I have very limited pics of them on my cell phone but just wanted to say a little about the strain, those leaves would stand straight UP and just to give you an idea of there strength I broke off completely a lower branch and brought the branch indoors and took 15 clones off the branch. I took the branch back outside and drove the branch into the soil with no roots/etc or anything but stalk. I foliar sprayed with fulvex/B1 and 4 days later she was rooted and all fans were standing=now this is one fukin tough plant. I do have a nice pic of that plant beside one Swt#3 plant 6 days after the branch was broken. On a better tune I did get some nice LUI indoor pulled off and I got more to come this winter and alot more next summer and fuk the Army/RCMP/OPP. There kids gotta go to the same high school as everybody else. Attack my kids "ladies" and expect the same. Karma! I got my license! I never pick a fight but when backed into a corner I aint pretty. I did have some trouble with mold on the main cola's and although they were large the Herijuana/etc were larger without mold trouble. I must have been at that humidity level were it was borderline and the LUI does have a much tighter bud structure. I just wondered if that Ortega pheno is better for mold resistance or any particular things I could do to keep it away like topping the plants to get 12 good cola's intstead of 1 huge cola that can't breath. Any tips would be highly appreciated. I got another 30 legends started last night so just wanted to go over it before mother selection/etc. Thanks! Damn rippers...bigtime negative karma to all rippers.
Sorry to hear Milly. Instead of topping, why not try LST to create your multiple budsites and discourage mold. The big difference is that LST imparts no trauma on the plant as any cutting or pruning will, and therefore does not affect growth rate. This is a bonus outdoors with limited grow season. You do this a couple times at the beginning and they will be low and wide. Also a bonus against cops or thieves looking for 6 foot christmas trees... Of course, if you can't spend the time at your crop for whatever reason, I'd still try to come by and tie it down low. Panty hose with a big rock in em make excellent plant ties. They expand as the plant grows. How is that LUI? A friend is doing a run and Christmas is coming...heh heh heh!

Ha...just noticed this thread...sorry to hear the news Milly...LUI is looking to be a promising Strain. I'm sure there are a vast number of people on here that know more than me about it but here's a shot of my LUI ... about 45 days under a combo of Floro Tubes .. forced into flower after about 10 days from clone cut...It's a new strain to me

Hey buds, glad to be free
I do LST on all my plants but just by hand daily and all I do is take the tip to the ground and it does produce about 10 In/20 outdoors, really nice heads but there is still the main cola although bent over and this was the only bud that seemed to mold but also the largest and very dense. I thought maybe topping could just do away with it but my humidity will be lower this year so not sure if I want to top and I am sure you guys will steer me in the right direction. Now I got my license so I can grow 20' plants no problem and they are always guarded with shepherd's/shotgun so thiefs aren't as much of a concern. I do love to LST everytime while I water and thanks for the advice Pete. The indoor LUI was great but I didn't get to harvest my outdoor which was the Ortega and I waited about 2 years to taste it but the gangsters stole it that time but I will taste it in a couple of months. Good to see you around Mr A and what happened to CC? Thanks bonsai, your LUI looks perfect and I have helped/done a couple med grows with fluoros and they take a little longer but you can do excellent like yourself, it looks Milly BLunt

Milly thanks for the nods on my buds...it's a first attempt at floro's..just for fun..and what a riot it's turnin out to be!!! So hey man...if you have a permit and are gonna grow I think your limit is 4 plants then you should definatly LST but I'd call it HST Heavy Stress Training ha...not really though...but back in my outdoor days we used to tie them down with string and tent pegs. Pete has a good idea with Panty hose and a rock...that way it can stretch with the plant. But if you dug a 2' diameter hole for each plant about 2 feet deep and then back filled with a really juicy mix with a slow release nutrient you could just keep tieing it down every few day's. We had plants... NL strains.... sprawl out into 12' Diameter Circles. If a full grown man stood on one knee in the centre he dissapeared behind the tops. Best way for outdoor if you can get to your plants every few days. It's not something I recommend if you want to stay stealth outdoors as your path will lead the deer and people to your grow. Good Luck
Sorry to hear about the choppers...you might get a kick out of this story...a buddy of mine had his stash taken much like you and they left a business card in one of his watering pales. ... We went to water them one day and give them a shot of grow juice and come across this card.....DOH!!!!! ... better that then watering when they stop by...ha...cheers

I could really use some help uploading pics cuz in my gallery there is around a dozen pictures but right now when I look down at my gallery under this box to write there is only 2 pictures to choose from and I would like to get at the other 10? How? LOL
Hey bonsai, yeah 5-50 plants is normal through health canada. I eat 5g per day so the license I beleive can vary but normal is 25 plants and 1.25kilo in dried weight. You can't grow in/out at the same time and there is some other restrictions but it will take me a year to master the paperwork and you have to renew it every year. That one SWT#3 plant in the picture is actually around 8' tall but since it is so bent it looks smaller but that is actually just bent so hard and the base stalk diameter was over 6 3/4" in july when I measured. It looks so short but that is only cuz the plant is horizontal. Much better sun penetration eh bonsai. I do make a sling shot out of a dead stick to put under the plants main stem cuz the plants weight is just too much. There is so much hidden growth in that swt#3 that the pics don't show. Hey M,
You certainly have always sported the BIG Heeping and Healthy Bushes! Now I recall you at one time having something with some deep, dark colors indoors.......was that the LUI or SWT? I have no idea regarding the CC but I suspect it may have had low frequency and guests? - Mr. A

Oh the Shishkeberry #3 LOL That was at my old house and those had some beauty colors eh. Well you should have seen my outdoor Herijuana/etc/etc/etc in the mountains this fall=the best colours I have ever seen in my life. You know something though, I go at 3:00AM when the choppers can't fly in the fog everytime I go to that spot and I work until 7:00AM daily. The majority were 9' tall but I had some Herijuana around 4' tall but nasty wide growth. They were all pretty much around a pound plants except the chemo which were 7g LOL The purple color of the chemo is the same color of my whole mountain crop but I have no pics. Some of the nicest smoke though and I got 1 pick while trimming, out of 25 of those smaller plants. I don't have ANY pics of those plants from the mountains though but I will post some pics of the dried bud and let me tell ya, all pics are from a camera phone but you will see what I am saying once I can figure out how to post them. I am happy bud even though I lost almost everything to my name genetically. I lost a decade of work and I will never let that happen again. Thanks for the compliments bud and since I don't feed chemicals to my soils it only gets better every year. Milly BLunt

Milly I checked out your gallery. Nice lookin outdoor crop and ya nice light penetration. As for adding pics...you may notice a slider bar under your pics that will get you to the rest of your gallery. hope that helps. Good luck on your next run. Not sure if enyone else trys this but I have had strange succees with my out door harvests. I've tried all kinds of different spots with different strains and sometimes the same strain...hmmm how to explain this quickly..... It's a weed...sometimes the same strain can grow huge buds under a forest canopy with minimal light and the same strain do the same out in the direct sun...but in the same harvest have a few do poorly in both spots....always the same prep hole dug at the begining of the year. I'm a set-it and forget-it kinda guy. Simple rules that always worked for me was.
1 Calculate how much bud you will need till your next harvest 2 Expect no more than 2 ounces per plant 3 Plant double and expect a loss of at least 50% of your plants 4 Plant in an area that gets natural constant ground moisture for the entire cycle...(like a high spot in the middle of a swamp) 5 Don't plant them beside each other (they won't generate as much heat that way) 6 Remember where you put them and don't go back till harvest 7 Pay attention to the farmers fields in the area and use them as a judge of when you can go to harvest. (Corn and second cut of Alfalfa is usually bang on but watch for heavy frost warnings) This has worked for me and always better than expected if I set out with these expectations. How does that method sound to you?....or anyone else? ... after all...I've never "studied" how to grow anything really. and after all...it is just a weed no? oh and milly...7G sounds funny for sure off one outdoor plant but strange things can happen. a friend I helped one year had a strain that looked better and smelled better than anything we had seen up till then but when smoked......Nadda!!! at least yours smoked well....we had bags and bags of this dummy bud we ended up callin it. Cheers
