Reeferman did it for Willie....and boy did he do it!

It was State-of-The-Art, Truly Distinct and Profound....eventually Willie smoked it and....totally embraced it.

But surprisingly, I am not sure that it was done per Willie's request.

I often wonder what DJ would love to see created in his honor.....

Something maybe, in life, that he does not necessarily intend on locating, breeding or happening to smoke, ...but something that would be right up his alley.

Any ideas?

In 2006, It never crossed my mind to assure everyone here that I wouldn't name the eventual strain after DJ....!!!!!!!!!!

The strain is NOT called DJ SHORT...!!!!!!!!! (I think that would be very inappropriate btw)

Vitality is a kalimist F8 x a flo F8
....So the name has many levels of applicability....one being :: hybrid vigor
-another being : the type of cerebral state it is meant to manifest
-and also, the strain's coloration assists as sunblock(imo and various research)
- and finally, the ability of many phenos to reveg under 14 hour daylight, given put outside to flower in march. (This comes from the kalimist...and it's sativa behavior/iow: the photo response)
Note:_____many flos typically will flower under 16 hour days, so we fixed this delima via km hybridization.

-I grew the kalimist outside, 3years/ iow:for 3 generations, and coaxed to line feel happy it doesn't have to flower indoors anymore.
-The flo F7 was also grown outside before he pollenated the Red KM.

Well I would imagine Chimera/BS/etc has done just that with mental floss and others but how about True Blue x Flo so maybe one could harvest blue/flo from the end of september to the end of november. That would be nice to harvest for 2 months indoors Never know what that combo would do but I know I would like DJ to breed everything so he could do it in his own honor Milly BLunt

In the 70's,
Dj was exposed to some remarkable landraces. I believe that the position of the sun relative to the plant contributs greatly toward making hundreds of possible highs possible. There must be such a vast wealth of geneticsin existence... which would allow the possibilty of gifting a new and exciting genepool his way, very probable....after all, no one in any single location can have tried everything bad ass....old and new. Or could they?

I certainly do not want to low rate what Steve had accomplished in the joint venture. Maybe I should/could have stated the thread as ......To name a strain in honor of DJ?

But maybe the prize at the end of the rainbow would be the accomplishment of an Equatorial FLO line....re-establishing the genes to their original paradisaic, powerful and potent potential....

....I have smoked a many variants of purple weed...but one Flo I had reminded me of the smurfs. Absolutely stacked calyxes similar to Jingle's that just made you think of the vine from Jack 'n the bean stalk.

DJ has shared his timely contributions with society......maybe......some fine herb that is medicinal and having properties such as encouraging circulation and promoting a restful nights sleep.......who is to say? Cheers.

Yeah that Flo I am sure would look much different grown by myself then someone at the equator. I can't wait to work with his Flo line and just simply haven't started yet. I kick my ass for not having some outdoors this year but the choppers would have got them anyways unless there were hidden in the mountains like the monsters I harvested despite the army/LEO. Shit if we all accounted what LEO has destroyed in terms of genetics for even DJ/BS/etc alone or what we have had to destroy cuz of them it is sick.

Even sicker is prarie plant systems gets there genetics off of the RCMP raids and even though they are all labelled and such from seed co's they simply plant randomly and make the genetics unknown/etc. They grind the whole plant stems, leaf and all into joints and sell them for $150oz + tax with NO refunds no matter if the patients get nasty sick with no benefits. So basically Marks seeds and then at the end grind everything up and sell it filled with chems=shame on them. I wonder if old abandoned mines have nasty chemicals roaming? The kind that if you smoke, it will hurt you. The kind we don't even have names for to even test that are simply unknown.

I don't see the need to make a strain to honor DJ. I think we all honor him when we show these amazing grows of all of his gear, year in and year out. That must be very satisfying for him to know that so many have and continue to enjoy the fruits of his love/labor.

Just wanted to mention to DJ that I submitted an article entitled 'Is you bud flo friendly'......under the submissions section many, many months ago which dealt extremely heavily with the fine and pleasing complexities I enjoyed during and after my last flo grow...I wrote that article under inspiration and love for the strain....Thank you very much for sharing your fine genetics. - Mr. Alkaline

It is Called "Vitality"

"Vitality" is aka RKxRDPF, RKMxRDPF, Red Kalimist x Red Dutch Passion Flo.

"Vitality", is a vata-pacifying, mostly Sativa Hybrid.
-created over a four year period, and made in OCT of 2011.
...and is Meso-American Sativa Dominant.

-It was a one time strain batch, and though 6 people own it ,...just 5 people are growing it.
