Safe to FIM/LST?

These clones have been vegging for about 2 weeks and since the switch to Ocean Forest theyve been doing really well. I'm just wondering if there are any time guidelines on when its ok to start messin with them.

I def want to FIM the taller one but I figgure I jsut may as well just do em both and combine with LST. Is there any real risk to topping them/A reason i should consider not topping them?

of course its safe to fim and lst! Anytime after the 5th node its good to FIM and any time is good for some LST! even as a seedling you can start lst! Good luck

hey blue duck. I just FIMed a few days a go right after the 5th node and I plan on begining the LST phase in aweek or so. Whats your setup like? you mentioned using CFLs in another thread. Do you go all the way to flower with the CFLs?

LST would be perfect now, lean that tall branch over and tie it down.
I pinch mine at the 4th and sometimes another if they veg long enough. They look very ready to me.

They got a nice full watering yesterday so i figgured today they would have taken up enough of it to make em nice and safe to bend w/o snapping.

I bent the taller one over and under a simple chunk of coathanger, its just barley holding it down.

I decided to jsut FIM tip the stout-bushier littler one, compare it to the pic at the top, otherwise its kinda hard to notice. It has already been stemming out in every direction already though, so hopefully this will just encourage more of that.

I'll post a good set of pics with my setup in a cople more weeks, its been like a constant work in progress my first time through.

It does look nice and bushy blueduck.

Now I usually put a tie at the base of the stem to keep it from pulling up out of the dirt, don't know how necessary it is but thats what I do.
