Anyone been to Negril?
I'm planning a trip to Negril, staying on the 7 mile beach area. Can anyone give me any advice or tips on finding de ighest grade smoke? Lambsbread? I've been to Jamaica before, but not to the Negril area. I'm hoping to find something other than the low grade tourist stuff. Any info appreciated, thanks!

Go to the far end of the beach.... right in front of Beach House Villas (you'll find it on the map)... Ask for Jim... No kidding either. He's shorter and of medium build, missing some teeth... likes to wear mesh tanktop. he patrols this area and does not bullshit. Tell him "you dont want any bullshit, only de ighest" tell him you want orange hill and nothing else. His main saying is" I aint gonna sell ya no bullshit", I kid you not. You may have to refuse the first offering, this is standard practice. Ask for the Gums too... he will get you some nice charras.
Negril is the BEST. I love it there. Been several times... want to be there now/ Send me a PM and I can give you some other details about a few other joints on the way to the cliffs... but Jim will hook you up at the far end of the beach. you'll find better closer to the west end near the cliffs.... but this is a good beach hookup.

Another place to look is toward the cliffs next to Blue cave castle. There is a wood carving stand next to it called " Elvis's wood shack" Elvis will take good care fo you. He can get you as much as you want for a good price. negril is a blast , have fun.
Also if you are on the beach go by Alberts. Its a bar. Ask for Michael. he is a tall dark skinned guy with short hair. Very nice and will get you anything from a jet ski to herb Nevermind Last edited by Mr. Nevermind; 11-02-2006 at 06:41 PM.. |

I love Negril. I sent you a PM back with the whole lowdown. I have a few people down there who I consider friends. You are so damn lucky to be going.

We agree on that. Negril is a the best vacation area for smokers. You are free to do what you lie without worying about getting busted for a J. You can smoke in resturants while you wait for a meal, can smoke in a cab if you want, can smoke on the beach relaxing. As long as you ask if its cool and show respect you can do waht you like. the weather is great, the water is amazing and i highly recommend getting a bottle of OJ every morning. The OJ is jamaica is the sweetest best tasting OJ you will ever have. I go to jamaica twice a year and love it. You can just relax and do nothing. No headaches , no stress. Just good food, good smoke and great weather. A good idea is to bring a bag of old clothes that you dont wear anymore. You can give them to the locals and they will trade you smoke for the clothes so you make your trash that was going to the dump or goodwill into something that the locals need and will give you anything for. People are poor there so anything you can do to help them will be returned to you in gratitide and friends for life. You take care of a few peopel they will remember you and the next time you go they will treat you like a king. They are beautiful people who live in horrible conditions. Help them out and they will help you out nevermind |

Mr. Nevermind, thanks for your recommendations. I'll be on the beach, more up toward the northern end. I'll look up Elvis and Michael. You're right about the poverty there, it's disturbing when you see the poor living conditions. Jamaicans seem to cope with it well though. Ever'ting be irie! Good suggestion on the clothing.
