When to transplant clones?
Hey every one-
I have some cuttings in an aeroponic cloner, about 2 wks. White nodules finallly have appeared. When do I transplant? My intent is hydro, rooting them in perlite.

heya buddy.
Well i use rockwool mostly but when i do the 'KFbuckets', i do em in perlite/vermaculite. I dont do nothing with em, like transplanting to bigger pots from the small cups of perlite/verm, i wait till the roots are starting to take off nicely, usually when they are about 3" and a good few of em. Usually about 3-5 days after them white nodes appear. (might be faster in aero, maybe not if they took 2 weeks sofar) Cos if they are real small roots, like just emerged, damage can occur so easily and in most cases makes that clone pretty useless unless that clone is real healthy and u got an extra 2 weeks to try to nurse it to health or recut it. If i was u, id keep em in the aero cloner till they have some roots to speak of Hope that helps. Hippo Last edited by Hippo; 02-14-2004 at 01:16 AM.. |
