During my first grow I was experimenting with two different lst techniques. I tied the top of my plant to the base of the plant making a horse-shoe shaped plant, after a few days the tie slipped off the base and in about 2 days the plant had almost returned to its original shape. I believe you must continue to train in order to control the auxins.

just flatten the main stem with your finger's about 2/3rds up the plant. it will fall over and the lower shoot's will take off while it's recovering. you can do this as many time as you like. but if you do it once you will get a bushy plant that still has it's main cola.
