Oops, I f'd up already!

Wish I found this forum before reading about Rapid Rooters (where most recommend you pre-germinate then transfer to the RRs)!

Very helpful information you have here, Mike!

Mandala is awesome!!!

After reading Soma's book the shot glass method seemed appropriate but I trust Mike 100% so if he says sow directly then it shall be so......

i put nine hashberries in soil per their website and all nine popped. i think i burnt three but i raised the light and got 6 of nine looking awesome. i'm still pretty noobish so i'm very impressed with 6 of 9 in veg on my second grow.

What happened with the tenth? Saving for a rainy day?

What kind of soil did you put it in that burnt it? First time growing in soil... been doing DWC hydro before but my present situation doesn't really fit too well with the hydro setup.

I'm planning on transplanting these Rapid Rooter plugs into a mix of Fox Farm Light Warrior and Ocean Forest (one bag each), and maybe some additional perlite. Hopefully that won't be too hot of a mix, as I've read that straight Ocean Forest can be a tad bit on the hot side.

You make me blush.

It's our ambition that every grower is satisfied with the Mandala strains... and this starts with perfect seeds and "growing" confidence - regardless of how new or seasoned you are to gardening. ;-)

Grow on,
Mike

Yeah, put them in the starter cubes. Instructions for that are also in our germination info and good grow books. ;-)

@ezbake: he's just pulling your leg... ;-)

I've had fine success with both rockwool and Rapid Rooter plugs. I think it's a bit wasteful to use Rapid Rooters for seed germination, though, and dries out real fast so you might wanna keep it covered.

ezbake: yeah like Mike said, I was just being sarcastic. The Hashberry was my first seed grow. I had read about all these oldschool guys here on the general grow forums talking about some 6/10, 7/10, 4/10, etc. rates and talking as if 9/10 and 10/10 are spectacular. But here on the Mandala forum, it appears 10/10 is pretty much business as usual.

Edit: Maybe I should change the title of the thread... it's a bit misleading, in case people never read the contents.
