Watering Seedlins

hello to all...

when it comes to feeding just planted beans. "planted 07/18/04" so the questions is this. when and how much should they get feed? should i only be feeding them plain water? them being in cups how far should they be from light, before they have even come out of soil?

all seedlins are planted in Fox Farm "Ocean Forest"soil. there in 16oz cups. they are warming under my 400w HPS which is over kill. but i just got my setup running so i figured if i run the light. i'd get to see the enviroment the seedlins will be living in. so that would give me more time to work out temps an air flow problems in my "Grow Room". love saying "Grow Room" next thing to say is i need to go check on my ladys...hahaha...

thanks for any help or info...

Water only for a bit. I would put them under some flouro's for a couple of weeks until they get some roots developed.

Flouro's can be set within a few inches of the tops of the plants.

That 400 will work fine then, just leave it that hieght until you see some growth and then gradually bring it down on them. As long as heat is not a problem you can get the lights close as hell.

Get some fans kickin in there for circulation plus it helps make the stems shorter and stonger on you seedlings. They will be good in those cups for awhile maybe two or three weeks and then transplant into a bigger pot.

there already germed. i had them in a cup of water for 24hours or t'll they droped to the bottom of cup. then i placed them on a damp paper towel. then the damp paper towel goes on a plate with syranwarp (sp**) ontop to act as a greenhouse. they all cracked so i put them in soil... i've been feeding them with a spray bottle of water three or four times during light cycle.
thats pretty much what i've been doing since saterday night..

i already have two fans in closet. the only real heat is right under the light.
what do you think about adding a pcs of glass to my hood. just remember my hood doesn't have exhaust hole on the sides. all the hood has is four vents on the top it. but its weired the hood itself never gets hot..
