My wife went to a job interview this morning. About an hour after she left I got a phone call from her cell phone.I answered and a very flustered sounding wife was on the other end."What's up" I asked.
"Hey , they want me to take a drug test right here on the spot, It's a saliva test, I don't know what i'm going to do" my wife exclaimed. I immediatly ran to the computer with my my wife on the phone ,looked up Icmag and started tring to find info on passing a saliva test( or at least to see if anyone knew how accurate they are) , I really didn't find much info and really couldn't advise my wife in this situation. In the end we both just decided that my wife had a "sudden emergency" and had to leave the interview, the whole situation was very dissapointing. So In the wake of this bullshit I wanted to write this thread to seriously discuss this new technique , as I believe we may be looking at the future of drug testing, and as a large cross section of smokers who still have to pay their bills , we need to figure out sure fire ways of beating this. I will begin my research, but if anyone has any insight into this please chime in , we need to know.

I could be wrong but these might be a little more in our favor, I dont think they are a very powerfull test.

My wife recently failed 2 drug tests after being clean about 40 days. First was a urine test( and we bought the $40 de-tox drink the head shop had so much faith in) , then a hair test, both failures made her miss out on jobs.

A few days later she took a saliva test for a different job and passed.

After working there a few days she was talking to another employee who said he was suprised he passed the drug test because he was smoking the week before the test, he said he drank alot of water right before the saliva test and passed fine.

No drug testing is good, but I think these might be better because they can do them right in the office, no sending you to the lab and I think they are an easier test to pass.

I have heard that some believe saliva testing to be easier to beat. Unfortunatly when they spring it on ya , you're just as fucked as if it was any other drug test. I have also been hearing Cops are going to start carrying saliva tests to test people they have pulled over, if you test positive...guess what DO NOT PASS GO.....Do NOT COLLECT 200$, cause you're fucked , and you're going to jail. They can dress this shit up anyway they want, but we are still on the business end of gettin' fucked here. Keep the input coming folks...

This will get beat down pretty fast in the courts after a few arrests. How can the test tell you just smoked and are therefore, DWI/DUI? Technically, smoking is not a crime - just possession. I wouldn't worry about this too much. The fact they may be administered in the field is enough to prove the undependable nature of such a test.

Do NOT concent to any search or test.

Make the frekin' pig get a court order!! Have him wake the judge up at 2AM saying that he/she thinks you might have been smokin some pot.

Many places fail a person if they use something to hide it because the screen comes up N/A or something like that.

the only saliva test ive taken ive passed, stoned..

went to a temp agency & had massive cottonmouth, (wasnt really concerned about getting a job there, i had been to 2 other places that day) but they stuck the swab in my cheek and i had to hold it there for a few minutes.. i do know i ate a breathmint a few minutes before i walked in, only because i had just smoked some bud at home quick before i left for this place, and i also smoke cigs and hate having cigarette breath,,

the swab really didnt get that saturated, and it came back clear..

go figure

and the job sucked ass anyway, i think i quit in the first few days..

in those saliva tests, weed can only be found somewhere within 72 hours or so from the test, so its VERY good for us..

just abstain for 3 days and youll be good, hell, you read how i passed, and i was stoned.. maybe just a fluke, but it happened

i was just in Barnes and Noble reading the newest issue of HiGH Times...

there was a huge article about this new "philips" device that is on pace to be used in Europe within the year....

Philips developed an on-the-go drug testing device that can be used by the side of the road to test suspected imbibers for cocaine, heroin, cannabis, amphetamines and methaphetamine.

Unlike the standard alcohol testing device, this equipment is used by having the suspect spit into a small receptacle, which is then inserted into the measurement chamber which contains magnetic nanoparticles coated with ligands that bind to one of five different drug groups, delivering color coded test results in about 90 seconds.

This isn’t exactly great for drug users, but for those that don’t use drugs and just seem to look the part this is definitely good news. It will end any harassment much faster through a quick test.

Philips built it as an optical device that would be easy to mass produce for law enforcement. The company hopes to release this to cops in Europe by the end of this year.
