Sourbubble test Journal
Hey all, heres my sourbubble babies. I have 6 in hydro and one in dirt, all a week old , growing with some bagseed.
My veg tub is a DWC 10 plant , 30 gallon sterilite. I am using 2x 4ft shoplights for veg, but will be doing late veg/flowering with a 1k watt mh/hps. Cabinet is a self built, 4x4x7.5 monster on wheels. I started out the first couple days on plain water, but soon decided to start at 300ppm gh floranova grow. I gave them 2 days of that, then upped to 600 which they are loving so far. PH is stable at 5.5 as we speak. So far, the sourbubbles havebeen pretty impressive. The initial leaves are way wider and more vigorous then the bagseed i started with. Ive been really impressed with the vigor, as my bagseed took over 2 weeks for roots to come out of the net pots, where as my SB took less then a week! first 3 SB's Click for Larger Image 2 more Click for Larger Image overall shot of all vegin Click for Larger Image |

Even though the seeds were all a bit small, i got 7/8 germ rate using the simple paper towl method, i just put the wet paper towl in a dome and set it on the tv, they almost always pop in about 12 hours

Those pics look great! I'm really interested to see how your in-soil plant does as opposed to your hydro plants. That makes for an interesting experiment! I bet quitting the cigs will get a lot easier when you have an ample supply of sour bubble! Good luck, and keep us posted!

Tough Plants but... Dont put seeds on a TV
The electrical microwaves emitted could cause genetic deformities or even kill some seeds. Sour Bubble is hardy and hard to stop however. It is the most indica plant most have seen. Glad your plants are doing well of course.

Sorry for no updates, nothng really to update tho.
As most know, i had a near death experience for my babies, my ph meter died, and not realizing it I lowered the ph 3 days in a row! The ph got so low in fact , that when i lifted the lid off my tub, the roots were SIZZLING! Because of this, I lost ALL my roots on my sourbubbles, every single last root died and fell off. I changed nutes as soon as i realized the ph meter death problem, but i couldnt save the roots, so all the sourbubbles in veg completely stopped growing. The leaves never shwoed any wilting or stress though, but growth stopped 100 percent. Now all the roots have grown back, not only did they grow back, but they are now MUCH denser root masses then they were before the incident. new leaf growth has started again, so next update will be friday. |
