ilovebetty Finns = Suomalaiset.
I like sauna very much. Nothing greater than few good friends, some good food waiting in the oven, cold beer (buried in the snow of course), load of herbs and some sausages on top of the kiuas (thing that heats up the sauna) in tin foil. Add a lake and I can die after that. So yes, I think most of Finns like it hot hot hot. "Sisu, perkele!" |

Yes, most finns do really like sauna very much.
Actually (and yes, all following is true) sauna has been known in Finland for a very long time, and has played a big role in old religions of Finland. (before Jesus, around the times of Ukko) Even today, in some big factories etc. the overtime pay you get, if you work saturday night is called "sauna extra", because traditionally saturday has been the day for sauna. Also saunas were known residences of hobgoblins or something like that in Finnish folklore. People used to leave food on top of the stove, as presents for the fairiefolk. I believe that is one reason people still cook on the stove in Finland (of course we cook in our kitchen mainly, but as Bassbababa said, sausages in tin foil on the stove )One thing I don't understand, is how the hell can people use their saunas as growroom?! Don't they want to use it for what it is for? But anyway... Peace out -Tweek |

No, saunarakennus oli jo valmiiksi käyttökelvoton joten ajattelin että oishan ne viherkasvit somia siellä. :P
