The Shiskaberry Files

Thought I start a thread for this Shiskaberry grow I'm doing. I got the seeds from Marc Emery in Van BC. Took a while to get them, he states on his site it will take 4-6 weeks to get seeds and it will. But when they got here there were 4 bonus seeds in the pack. He also included some good how-to info.

I started to germ on the evening of 7-15. My germ method is placing them between two paper towels wetted with distilled water then placing the towels on a plate, covering that plate with plastic wrap and then covering that with another plate. By the morning of 7-18 I had 100% Germ. Another thing I make sure of when Germ. or transplanting is keeping hands washed and everything clean as possible.

I've now transplanted the sprouts into small pots and placed them under a flouro light. I'm using a basic potting soil mix, Supersoil, avail at any Wal-Mart and I mixed in some perlite. No other additives at this point. The bulbs I'm using are GE Daylight Ultras. I'll be running the lights on a 20 on 4 off cycle.

I'll try to keep this tread updated as the grow goes. Anyone has questions or advice I'm all ears, though my advice would be limited since I'm a rookie and don't have much of a clue as to what I'm doing. Just following the good advice of others on here and OG. But I'm more than willing to parrot that advice with anyone who wants to listen.

I am having good results with other RM strains so I might give them a run.

Keep it green

Yeah, Tex I've got a group of Blue Moon Rocks and Skunk I's ahead of these. Other than that I haven't attempted a grow in quite a few years. I screwed up on the Blue Moon's and over Fert'd too early and burned'em- Rookie error I'm sure. I'm getting excited the Skunks are just a week or so away from going into flower mode. Then it won't be long and I won't be dep. on anyone else.

Yes, Shiskaberry X Shiskaberry, Sorry I probably should have been more exact. Wasn't trying to mislead anyone.

Sprout update

After one day the seedlings have pushed through the soil and are climbing to the light.

Thumbs up One Month Up-Date

It's now been a month since I put the seeds in that paper towel and started this process. So far I think things have been going fairly well. I wish they were larger, but then I wish I could go from seed to bud in a day. Here's some photo's of the their current condition. As you can see in the photo's I've added an automatic drip watering systems.
