What's up, IC?

Since this is an international mag, I thought I'd check and see if anyone can give a lowdown on finding anything to smoke in Brazil.

I've been told that the drug laws, while draconian, are often unenforced. However, I am aware that, as a tourist/non-naitive speaker/white-ass motherfucker I could be the target for both the police as well as unscrupulous locals.

I don't need to smoke while I'm there, but would love to sample the local flavors if possible.

Maybe even get a few seeds as well, as I've heard that the IBL Brazillians are descended from the strains the African slaves brought over...and the only Brazzy strains that seem to be available is Bahia Blackhead from KC Brains (a most disreputable breeder according to the old OG strain guides). So getting the real deal would be kinda cool. But once again, none of this is neccesary. I won't risk time in a foreign prison just to toke a little on my honeymoon...

I'm visiting Rio De Janiero and Salvador for a few days each, returning just before carnival frenzy starts. Any ideas, experience or suggestions?

Finding herb down there isnt hard at all. Very cheap as well, most places in South America herb is plentiful and cheap. I have a friend in Sao Paulo ( south of Brazil) and smoke is plentiful there. She is never out. In southern brazil look for Gauchos ( name for southen brazilians, cowboys) they have barrels of the shit. Just be careful, there is alot of poverty there, but the people are lovely and fun loving. Show respect to all and it will be returned 10 fold. Be generous with people there. If someone helps to park your car give them a good tip, its all the money they get for food.

Just go to a local bar, order a few ciapirinhas and relax. Smoke will find you. Enjoy your stay , it is truly a beatiful place. And the women? Oh my god, brazilain women are by far the most beatiful women you will meet. Their hips will drive you crazy

my wife had to do a training seminar for a week in sao paulo 3 yrs ago, Rio De J. isnt too far from there..she was scared to go alone down there, so i got a ticket and went with..it was like a 15 minute drive from Guarulhos airport..we stayed in a very nice hotel & all, and i got weed from a guy outside of our hotel on the sidewalk... enough for the week=70$, more than a ounce i think..
wasnt too shabby lime green bud, but just like our first time in in jamaica, i think i bought some tourist weed outside of that hotel.. but hey, im not bitching! i had a blast!

honestly i didnt travel anywhere besides the airport to the hotel & walked a few block radius around the hotel because we were pretty broke, but if i could stumble on herb, im sure you can too

-spent most of my time at the pool.. jesus the women are gorgeous, totally agreed A. Nevermind!

I was out there about 12 years ago..Sao Paulo. I didn't even smoke back then. I remember walking into this park near the hotel we were staying at, and there was this dude selling tons of bongs and pipes...and he had a shitload of customers.

This other dude was openly puffing a spliff and licking his finger to wet down the part of the paper on his j that was coming up...pretty crazy! I was pretty young back then too...my first time seeing anyone smoking weed, and in public at that!

I have had Original Haze that was almost like acid, unexperienced smokers would white-out or pass-out, or throw up after a toke or two... Oh, and it was Euphoric to say the least.
