Black Gold Vs. Foxfarm..the Saga...

I have used both, and both are tops in this league!!
but i would have to say that black gold at 40% cheaper is by far the better value...........I currently have a mix of the 2 running though, because of Foxfarms ocean forrest's lack of aeriation, I find the gold to be very useful....I see the difference/taste when each is seprate, but at that quality of dank, you could improve your garden with the saved money anyways!11.99 compared to 17.99..............I go with Black Gold!!!!

Rob-
I use black gold as well, which type do you use and do you mix it with anything? (perlite, etc.) I just started using the Black Gold organic last grow (straight, not mixed with anything), though I don't grow organic lol... wouldn't mind trying sometime though.

I use black gold regular organic, mixed with a small part of Foxfarm Ocean forrest (gives it extra flavor), I also use coconut coir and Mychrozia to give the "pot" a more bacteria enriched zone, so nutrient uptake is totally sufficent....Im yet to use compost though and have heard a ton of great things, but the mychrozia is supposed to do the same things, excluding aeriation
I stick by my nutrients and tea's that i make. As with chemicals compared to organics, the only substantial yield difference i had was through a recirculating system, soil really does get pretty much the same, if its grown right.....

but the #1, most important thing, by far and away is GENETICS.
Its only "supposedly" a 20-30% "potency potential differential" rate, between its genetic makeup, and how well its grown. Meaning that a white widow strain (before being handled) w/ a rate of 18% thc could be grown with stupidity and still be within the 12-14% range.....

the difference with products arent what there putting in them, its what there putting on them, some growers like to make there own soils but i'd go with the convience...........live on Black Gold!!!

BG vs FF

I heard some pretty good thing about the FoxFar5m mixes, and seen some pretty decent results, and if I could save a fin or so per bag, I'm game. where do you find this stuff in a hydro shop?

I love the FFOF soil. My plants sure do, too! Although, I really cant say its better than the other, as Ive never tried BG. "If it aint broke, dont fix it", right? L.V.
