A few questions for Shanti
Hey Shanti,
I have heard many great things about Mr. Nice seeds. I have yet to grow any of your wares. Recently however I bought some stuff and I wanted to ask you a few quick questions about them. Mango haze x Nevile's haze- This stuff sounds like the utter mind melting Bomb( if you find the right pheno) Any info on this stuff yet? Nevile's haze - I've heard the legend , now I'm finally going to find out for my self. Being that nevile's haze is 75% Haze (and I've never grown any hazes) can you give me some advise about how I should treat these ladies. Is there a particular pheno I should be looking for(like with most strains)? If you're too busy to answer I understand. |

Hi WK
well i am writing alot of stuff for the new website so you will find most things there very soon. But to help you with NH or any of its hybrids you should take a clone from the seed mother as this usually finishes 2-3 weeks before the seed mother...in my experience. Then concentrate on any plant finishing between 12-14 weeks if any go longer then I believe they are not worth to pursue. The phenotype will be predominantly Haze so it is not the easiest of plants to do correctly. Try speaking to any others who have tried these seeds like Scopion, Hempy and several others, they maybe able to share some of their experience. I wish you all the best and will be around to help as you go through the event...all the best Sb

I agree with Shanti that Neville's Haze is easier to handle from clones, I had NH in clone form for a while, the seed mother took a full 16 weeks but the clones were done in a little over 12, I put them into 12/12 as soon as they were rooted and they still were over a metre. I found that the best way to grow them in soil was to augment your soil with worm castings, calcified seaweed and bat guano then just feed them plain water, that way they get a steady supply of organic food and I found that a lot easier than trying to feed them with liquid ferts, when I fed them that way I found them to be really picky. It's an amazing smoke, one of the very best but a buit of a pain to grow, took me a couple of runs to get it right, but I could say that of all the Hazes I've tried, but I'd rate Neville's Haze and Super Silver Haze as the best too I've tried, strangely, KC Brain's Haze Special was the best of the others, it has a pheno that was similar to Neville's Haze.

Thamk you for the response Shanti!! Great to hear from ya. Glad you're back to work.
Thanks to British Hempire for jumping into the fray too. I've heard that hazes can be somewhat of a pain in the ass to grow , but I'm as ready as I'll ever be. I already use Fox Farm soils in my grows , do you think that would be sufficient or do I need to ammend it alittle more? I don't want to get into trying to use liquid ferts on these because I've been told the haze comes out like shit if you over fert it , and it's easy to overfert as I heard as well. Anyway I've got 2 SSH's in veg right now so I'm about to get an introductory lesson on growing a haze very soon , but so far no probs, they love Ocean Forest soil. |
