Creative ideas for safe addy? - Security & Legal Issues - International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums

I'm new here (first post) but have been reading lots at this site and others for about a month. Yes...I've read the posts on safe addys, too.

I'm still looking for new and creative ideas for a safe address since I need to order just about everything over the internet...including seeds. From what I've already read, these tactics just don't cut it.

Post office box - need fake ID, totally out of the question
Vacant houses - the postman knows there's nobody there, none in area anyway
Install new mail box - I live in an apartment with locked boxes

Looking for new ideas...and I'm sure I'm not alone.

What to do?

PS - I remember when that florescent micro-grower came out about 20 years ago. The police simply waited 6 months before showing up.

your way to paranoid to be honest but when your paranoid atleast your extra safe.....the best way is make sure you don't send them to where your growing.....you need to find someone that is ok with sending them there and will play dumb if the cops ever do show up, which they never do anyway.

the thing is that you use a fake name but real address....joe smith for example with the real addy....if anything did happen and the cops came to talk to whoevers house you sent them too could say who the hell is joe smith? there is no joe smith that lives here and i've never seen any package sent here to joe smith or yeah a package was sent here to joe smith but it wasn't mine so i sent it back out because i don't open other peoples mail.

if you don't want the person knowing the seeds are for you then say you have a friend or someone you work with that will give them a free bud or a couple bucks if they just simply get them ordered to there place and if anything goes wrong to stick to the simple story i told you above......but mainly when the postal workers find a package they think is suspicious and they find seeds or something in it they just take it and dispose of it and you never hear a word about it....thats why sometimes peoples orders just don't show up.

hmm, im assuming a sad post was removed up there.. because i dont foloow...

anyway,
i use a close family member as a safe addy..
shes at work when the mail comes anyway, and doesnt mind me doing it.. she knows i order tons of obscure cd's from europe anyway

i just told her, once in a while, i might get some seeds in the mail... she didnt blink twice.. gotta love good family

and, she doesnt smoke herb, so she really would have nothing to fear anyway

Just be careful people. Everyone says that but do we really follow that?

If you are warned about someone and you see that something isnt right in their posts or their gallery.........then trust your instincts.

wtf makes anyone think that he really knows someone or can trust him/her, when the only place you've met is the internet???
Without PGP there is no real way to be even sure that its the same person you talked to yesterday.

Growers will not come into chat or Pm with another grower and ask personal guestions like where do you live? How much do you have growing? What do you do for a living? They just won't do that so if someone does.......do ya really think they're cool?
