Hi ppl, i was just wondering, How does every1 germ their beans??
I have just left them in water to soak til they crack, and sometimes i have used the paper towel method, with varying degrees of sucess for both, any tips plz. |

Im no expert, but I usually do the paper towel method in a ziplock baggie, and one thing i have noticed is, everyone says put it on a heat source like ur VCR, or stereo amp or something, but be carefull, i think i cooked my last batch of beans with too much heat from the normal heat source, they all popped and Croaked :(

2 paper towels & baggie
2 paper towels & baggies is my preferred method. be sure to exhale into baggie.
12-36 hours later they should be ready. I put my baggie on the monitor & leave puter on all night & turn off in day. I just got 6/6 cindy99X haze from jlp all showing leaves today. ready for the assembly line. deZerTomB |

My method, Soak the seeds in a jar of water for about 12 hours,
then put them in a paper towel . then put the paper towel in the plastic baggie, give it a little breath and then seal it up, put that on a heat sorce,(computer-VCR, or what I use is a seedling heat mat. And as soon as they pop put them into your growing medium. |

I take mine put them in the soil water very well then place a baggie over them for 24 hrs or so then undo place under lights if not allready be sure to take baggie off leaving it on longer cam cause mold issues but works for me 90% of the time always make sure to keep your babies watered daily in the very beginning of their lives dont over do it but a little every day if outside in the summer sun! With flors you can go longer just make sure you dont let them go to much one way or the other

I soak my cubes or plugs for 24 hrs in pH balanced water. I then put the seed right into the cubes. I put them on the top shelve of a closet in the dark and leave for two days. When I get them down after 2 days they are just breaking the surface. I then put them under the floros. I don't do the paper towel method, I treat them like they were in nature and let them sprout themselves!!
Good luck with whatever method you use. |

I do the same stuffs as hooked but I have only started seedlings in soil and learned that when you use a flat and start like 15 seedlings youll get 100% germination if you presoak for 24 hours in superthrive and then directly plant into ph balance soil or soilless mix with DOLOMITE LIME! works like a charm
I should take pics later of my seedlings I got 5 different strains going on right now all 4 days old

I do similar to the paper towel method. I use a black wash cloth in a zip-lock. I figure its just like putting them in soil, then just put them under my floros next to my clones. Dont have to worry about the light since its already dark for them. I have had 100% germ rate this way since I started, and it takes about 24-36 hours every time. Thats it,
