W.baker's dozen

Hey
Quick intro
This is a diary, personal notes for all to see.
Im a hydro kind of guy rdwc mostly.. Wont be starting in hydro, good old dirt for now .Took a break (voluntary) for a year, no cuts.. No gift.. All luck

I'll be popping beans and reporting my progress and findings.

Was not going to journal this but this site helped me a whole bunch so might as well contribute(somehow hehe)

Popped a couple packs of beans in my wardrobe.. (Grew moms for outdoor, was already setup).. Eventually ran out of space... Kind of..

I topped (mosca, mostly) plants at 5th node (some 4th) cuts are on 12/12 for sexing... Day 4.

Still need to put panda film on bottom and middle floor, adjust hinges to reduce gab, stick some kind of window rubber/styrofoam thingy to lightproof it...

Ill have to install fans (intake/exhaust) some 90° abs to further lightproof and and.. Well yeah update tomorrow

Hey

Panda film is installed, hinges are tightened
At least 40 skunks emerged from the dirt
They all seem happy, and so am I ! (Old seeds you know..)

I was going to install some 4" fans to exhaust the heat...(flat square type)
But changed my mind as I did not account for the carbon filter in this original layout

So ill be drilling 4" holes (one per shelf) in the back of the cabinet and connect to a 6" fan and matching filter that will probably sit on top of the cabinet in modified storage box.

Also bought 4 bulb 48" t5(52w each) to flower with.. soon because 27" is all the height I got hahaha
Even if im no stranger to overcrowded spaces (rdwc can be hard to gauge stretch) it would be far from ideal.

I gave some old amnesia seeds a try (10years+ questionnable storage) from "lala's selection" bald man lala i would guess.. 2 out of 5 showed a tiny tap root(sterilized, soaked 48hrs, then pre cracked, finally paper towel) wish me luck on these!! Id like to find a strong male to chuck pollen for fun

Annnd I found some aphids on a couple plants... Store was out of neem oil, so I crushed all those I could see ill get something tomorrow

Aphids are my fault! Grabbed something nice from my guerilla to reveg and didn't quarantine properly.. Oh well...

I think thats it for today!

Don't sweat the technique.
And honestly. My fuck ups turn to gold so much the thought of fuckin up don't even bother me. So I keep it auto when I'm stepping through a portal. I know that sounds strange but, strange beats normal.

They might be too small(or filter needs replacement) for my situation, I'll see how it goes.. I have some bigger newer equipment in storage if the need presents itself.

Skunks are loving life

Last night I kept reading about aphids... The soapy water had mixed reviews, I started looking into insecticides and such..

Well surprisingly enough the soapy water did a pretty good job, I just finished round 2 of it and could not find the aphids (still did round 2... Surely theres young ones I did not see)

I'll start flushing the soap with water then I'll make a kelp extract solution and spray them lightly, should rejuvenate them a bit.

Damage is very limited but they dont look as vibrant as I like them to look.

Then I'll train them with lst here and there to control height... After a little break (12hrs?or so) then its flip time!!

Temps are stable at 25, humidity at 60...
Fan setup is working great.
