I grew out a lowrider X with OPT (oregon Purple Thai)


Ease of growing: Very easy, hearty, healthy plant

Method Chosen: Indoor soil

Taste: kinda like juicy fruit gum
Smell: same, like juicy fruit
High: tingly, silly high, head high, not the type where I wanted to get up and work though, made me lazy

Beaters? Dont know what they are dear. It is better than mids.

Regular Lowryder

Ease of growing - 7... I had some nute problems, they were sensitive.
Method chosen - Method? I just threw them in 1 gallon pots and flowered under a 150 watt HPS. Soiless mix of peat and perlite. Fed with 10-10-10, then a shot of 10-15-15 when they started to flower.

Taste: 8, I loved the piney taste
Smell: 2, All smelled very piney but not in a good piney way like alot of pot does. Also, it dosen't produce much smell at all.
High:1, it was like smoking mids
Comparable to: Mids, the mexican brick weed that is still green and has a couple seeds in it.
better than beasters?: Not even close


IMO, these plants are only good for dire situations. You'd be better off growing regular strains and training them.

Didn't find too much info on the LR x OPT (except for WeldFlash420's attempt?); is it 100% auto-flowering?

If you've ever grown Master Low... how's it compare to ML?

I've never grown or smoked LR or any crosses, but everyone who has seems to agree on this. Statements like "only good for desperate situations", "for a quick grow while waiting for a real harvest", or "was fun to try once on the balcony, but not worth wasting wattage on" are made about the pure LR.

OTOH, I've heard much better things about mdanzig's MasterLow; it's been said it's leaning on the Master Kush side. Been meaning to pick up a pack and grow out some seeds...

There's also PowerStout, another one of mdanzig's creations. Self-described to be "... similar to pure Lowryder ... bulkier ... has an improved taste ...".

Edit: ML is priced the same as the regular LR, so I don't see any reason to get the regular LR. PS is $10 more. I believe the regular LR finishes 1-2 wks earlier than ML, but the increased potency and yield of the ML easily overcomes that, IMO.

"Beasters" is British Columbian weed,... as far as I know..

Around here, British Columbian stuff is called BC bud. Beasters, on the other hand, is generally bud that's good, i.e. better than mid-grade, but not the best. The best stuff is called headies. That's just around here though, may be different elsewhere.

beasters are canadian buds brought to america they look pretty good but the smoke is bland and the high is crap. id buy mids before beasters anyday its cheaper and its the smae high IMO
