Not a problem at all. Please don't hesitate to call on any of us if you need any help with the hydro grow. We have several awsome hydro growers that hang with us down here.
It can get a little crazy sometimes with all the info and mis-info that is on the boards these days. There are many out there with only a few grows under their belt who think they are now The "Einsteins'" of the cannabis world and they mean well but the information is not always correct. Hydro is much faster and much more forgiving than soil. There are no comparisons between the two and there never should be because growing the two are as different as day and night and the same strain will come out differently every time.

^^^^^agreed....But IMNSHO you cant be the flavor of some good organic soil grown herb if done right...I run soil first then Hydro in my testing...just me...soil is just easier to see how they act and learn what they like...then I move on to production in the hydro...I give every strain 4 runs in different setups....then see if they make the stable of mothers...Best of luck and it's hard choosing keepers from annaC...they all shine...

Annac: Much thanks for the open invite. first week of feb, the construction begins.

I was again like a giddy school girl, i opened a pack first thing this morning. Soaking as i speak. (annac mix pack biko,mind boggle and boggy haze) Btw are the boggy name of the strain stem from BOG's strains?

Anycase, unfortunetly i may not have enough time to sex them before my deadline, i might push it back to 2nd or 3rd week of feb due to wanting to sex and clone first.

It has begun, been waiting 2 years to continue where i left off. And i can seriously say a day has not passed when i had not thought of growing or anticipated restarting, or thought of new techniques, new setups etc.... Like Ed Rosenthal best put it " Smoking marijuana is not addicting, growing it is!"

yes they Do. I try to use the name of the strain or the breeder whenever possible. BOGgy Haze....SOMAtooth and so on. My next one is Rezdogs Strawberry Ds' and 0 Gravity. It will be called "Rez-Zen"
and then we have the O gravity and Bubba Kush and I am going to name it "Black Hole" after my X-Wife who had nothing to do with the strain but sucks the life out of every living thing around her

When I decided to quit puting seeds in my houseplants and actually try to grow my own smoke I bought a hydro set-up. That was around 1992 and green merchant. There is actually a story behind that for another time and place. Any way I didn't try to start growing in dirt again until about 18 months ago. I am still trying to figure the dirt out. I can not for the life of me get it the same every grow. As soon as I can get a couple mothers then back to the water for me. All conversation about hydro is good for me.

Hello gronnh20 good ole GM...those were the days wern't they?...

we have a few koul Kats down here that do the soil grows. HFand Sparo, both are test growers for AS and they use soil and as you can see by their work they seem to have a good mix of something and I am sure if you want to continue using soil then they will be more than happy to get with you on getting it right. It is an art in itself and getting it wrong is so much easier than getting it right and soil is not forgiving like hydro is. If I fuck up a hydro solution then all I have to do is change out the res and flush the plant. With soil, once it's mixed then it's hard to reverse any process and all anyone can do is flush and wait and hope and pray. I been doing this since 1978 and I still have not mastered soil the way I would like . I don't have the patience for it because I can do twice the work in the same amount of time using hydro.
