Are you asking when to flush on an unknown strain? Most people flush a week to 10 days before the end of flowering. When to flush depends on when you want to harvest. But for example if you want the bud to be harvested at 25% amber 75% cloudy, then you would want to start flushing probably around 10-15% amber, and by the end of flush the trichomes would probably be around 25% amber.

hahah, no and yes. I was asking if you did NOT know when the 'end' was (unknown strain) how could you tell when it only had 2 weeks left.

Over 60 people viewed the post and none replied...so I closed it and continued searching. Looks like you just have to guess. Even strains with a 8 week date is not 100% accurate. So I guess, if you dont know the end date (could be 8 weeks, could be 12 weeks), just wait till they start turning cloudy and start flushing.... Shrug

Rackin if I can say anything to give you an idea is this,all grows are different and do really be sure you need to invest a whole 9.00 and go to Radio Shack and get a mini scope and look at the trics. The 8 week thing is simply a baseline a guage if you will. The temps outside the humidity and on and on differs from one grow room to another. You I see are on the right track I see with the cloudy part,I just wanted to say a good flush is golden as well as the 24-48 dark before the cut. Good luck with your grow and for future postings a picture will get you answers asap. The folks here are very knowledged but want to see something usually before giving answers.

I concur, which is why I removed the post and just continued searching. Figured it was either a lame question and was already answered, or it was totally random. Either way didnt wanna waste time asking newb questions...haha

I do have a radio shack magnifier as well as another 10x20x30x jewelers loop. I noticed the trichs had just appeared outta nowhere. Got all excited but then realized if I waited until they were cloudy/amber to flush it would be too late. So the next question was how long does it normally take from the moment of seeing the trichs, do they begin to turn cloudy, and then how long till they turn amber. If there was an average between phases (10 days, 5 days, 20 days) I could then take that and calculate the date to begin flushing, based on a 2 week flushing technique.

As you can see I had a legitament reason for asking, but due to the lack of replies assumed there was another answer posted somewhere else....either that or no one really knew.
