Playing around with the new camera and it's settings again. This time I took a bud of BMR and started working on a few closeups.
The first pic had way too much flash for the bud because it has a high albedo. (reflectivity) ![]() ![]() So I cut back the flash a bit and got this version... ![]() Still too bright so I reset some buttons and here is what it should look like. BMR is directly mined from the surface of the moon which proves my theory that the moon is not made of green cheese at all. It's made of crusty Blue Moon Rocks! BOG![]() more BMR pics coming tomorrow...

It has great close up capabilities and many settings to play with.
The taste of BMR? Well, it tastes like what it is. Basically a good Bubbleberry. The smell is very, very sweet having an aroma somewhere between Blueberry and Lavender. The smoke is very smooth and the high is very relaxing with no anxiety. BOG

direct lighting versus flash.
i hardly ever use flash.. direct lighting kicks ass.

Yeah, I like to play with lighting a lot and trichome farmer turned me on to the reduction of flash for macro's. On the exposure menu there is a +/- button and if properly set the pic can make use of the external lighting and the flash also. An open window with a blue sky provides the best external light IMHO but what sort of external light do you have Hashmaster?
I have watched good photographers us side lighting with and without flash and trichome farmer is the best photographer I have as yet watched work. Some day I hope my photos to be that good so thanks for the tip hashmaster. Here is that 420 pic of some of my Blue Moon Rocks... ![]() Now compare Sour Bubble Seeded with Blue Moon Rocks on the right and you can see a seed in the SB bud on the left. Note that the SB is nearly as nice looking despite being seedy. BOG

Hey BOGster! Great pics and wonderful bud. I too just got a Nikon Coolpix 8500. Right now the camera is smarter than I am but I'm learning the features and practicing.
Here's an Apollo x Sensi Star sitting on my mouse pad. This is NOT a macro and I'm learning like you to limit the flash. Yours, Dr. jay

direct lighting sources
i just have a ten watt bike light for direct light.. the sun is good, as well as just getting your bud and camera really close to a flourescent bulb.
