three noded deep chunk
I have two Deep Chunk that have three sets of leaves per node. I know there is a name for it. One started out regular, then started growing three sets each node. The other has always had three leaves per node.
Is there any advantage to this? And is this a common trait with DC? I looks cool. I'll have to take a picture...

More branching is an advantage thats for sure. You may very well get more yield. My buddy had a whorled seedling from the crosses i did of HTC north #1 and Jamaican Jam. Never did make it i guess. He isn't the most detailed/caring of growers though, so don't worry.

Most three-leaved seedlings I've heard about or seen ime turned out male... none of 'em were DC though, so who knows...? Good luck!

I have a DP Blueberry female with whorled phyllotaxy. I think they usually are males, or they grow out of it when they are mature, but this girl was popped August last year.
I'll be getting DC cuts on sunday

One of my G13-Diesel plants had this trait eventually it mutated with 3 stems growing into one really thin wide one. The cola on this mutated stem is growing sideways instead of upwards, I've taken cuttings to see what they will do. Overall though the plant is the biggest yielder.

Three leafs per nodey???Again?
The original 3 leafed DC's that i started this thread about, grew out of it and became regular 2 leafs per node plants.
Here is different DC that originally started with 2 leafs per node. But quickly turned into a 3 leaf per node plant??? It's freak'in me out man J/K!Here it is with other "normal" DC |

Very Nice Greenlion! I currently have a Goofy Grape from Bonguru thats a triad and female. Nice to see the mutation show in this lineage, too. I have some DC test crosses that I have yet to pop all of and I hope this mutation shows up. KUDOS!
