The high is on par too although the addition of a uvb light should help even more. |

Chocolate Thai
Yep. Remember those strains. Wow. I came into it in 81, so I got to experience the landraces grown in their native environment. If I remember correctly a lot of these strains were still around every now and then up until about 84-86 here in so.Cal. I would guess that some of these were landrace dom hybrids or landrace F1.
Some of my favs: Colombo gold- was there anything that even remotely tasted/smelled or looked like this stuff; and the high...!!! I get a little tease with jack, trainwreck, etc, but not the same (perhaps tolerence??) Chocolate Thai: some of the best smelling, tasty, stoney weed! God I miss this stuff. It is SO hard for me to believe that this is not around in quantity-it was SO fucking good! But perhaps it was not a strain but a pheno of thai stick or hybrid. I try to find some good info, but nothing! Is there a conspiracy to keep it under wraps? Is it in the hands of big pharma? WTF? Anybody who experienced the CT knows what I'm talking about, and I just do not believe it is really scarce? because it hermed. Not all of us are looking to make a buck. Last time I had a nice sack was July 85' that was acquired in North Hollywood. Pretty sure it was hybrid because the buds were shaped like silver dollars; dense in the center and tapering toward the edges, but still had the color and leafy look. The classic CT did not have bag appeal, but once you stuck your nose inside the sack....Bam! (Roasted coffee, choco-smoky DOM), spice/pepper/clay background. And the stuff was so resinous that it never seemed to dry out and get crumbly. You could not break off a piece, you had to tear it apart...dense, heavy feel even when bricked. Trippy stuff! So, does anyone know what happened to that delicious smoke known as chocolate thai? A link to any good threads- I've poked around with the search engine but you have to go to every sub forum to cover it. I wish one query would scan the whole site. Not expecting much, but if you could thanks in advance. |

When I started grooving in the very late 60's there were no strainds, that we heard of. There was fair & good.
