Irie-I's organic medicine garden mix
hey folks. im quite comfortable over at growroom designs and equipment, but i guess this is more approprate here.
i'm expecting my clones in 2 weeks or so for my club-grow. yesterday i prepared the soil: the ingredients: pro-mix BX... i prefer HP but it wasnt available 4 cups welcome harvest farm 4-4-4 super grow mix 4 cups alfalfa meal 2 1/2 cups high P bat guano 2 1/2 cups lime 1 bag (30l) earth worm castings ~ 5 gallons perlite 3 shovels full of leftover unused mix from my last grow this mix has cottonseed meal which is high acid. i prefer the gaia brand which is more alfalfa and canola i think, but i couldnt get it and just for fun heres a photo of the guano bag i open the bale of promix and spread it on the floor. then i break up all the chunks best i can and pour all the other ingredients on i mix it with a rake and a shovel for a while. then i innoculate with a compost tea that has bubbled about 24 hours the tea is preservation dude's mix, approximatly: 1 tbs per gallon molasses, alfalfa meal, and earth worm castings 1 tsp per gallon soluble kelp powder grozyme then pour more water on the "dirt" and mix it till its about even i filled it into garbage bags to "brew" till my baby girls come Last edited by irie-i; 09-14-2006 at 08:54 PM.. |

Nice set-up for mixing irie-i. I mix on an 8x8 tarp in my garage also. More room to work. I like to measure everything in 5 gallon buckets. I like the Super mix you use also. I will have to see if I can get that in the US. I'am currently using the FF OF for my base. I like all the additives in this time and as I recycle i will add everything back in and this stuff looks pretty good. You could really build on it.

irie-i - i'll be using the High P guano by harvest farm in week 4 of flower. I will make a tea, and as i can see on the website they call for "one tablespoon per 4 liters of water. " I will prob. add mollasses and a little WC.
does that 1tablespoon per 4 liters sound a bit to high ? 1/2cup/5gal ? |
