I like skinny girls...

Well here we are, it's time to document some of MOD's skinnys growing in my cab

I germed 10 freebie seeds in wet paper towell. They all popped well as far as I can remember, but 2 didn't make it through the first weeks. Not sure if it was the soil or something else

Out of the remaining 8 I ended up with 6 girlies which is quite good. They took a while to start flowering, I eventually forced them to show by hanging the light lower than I usually would. Anyone having problems getting them to switch might want to try that

All 6 girls are pretty much different. There's a more indica pheno which I accidentally snapped the head off, so there won't be much doccumentation of that one till I run clones of her next time round.

Then there's this one. She was kind of a cripple at first, with real papery leaves which where slightly ripped at the seratet edge. I'm a supporter of equal oppurtunities though so I let her go, and she looks ok now:

And then we have the skinny corner. I'd say these are all Haze or Thai crosses. Growing really tall and skinny with loads of popcorn all over the place. The side shoots are growing up real nice. I had to snap their necks repeatedly to keep them as low as they are, still they're the tallest I've got I hope they've stoppet stretching for now or it could be a close call
Here they are, in no particular order:

This is a pic of one of the above plants taken on monday. You can see where I snapped her:

That's it for now. I guess this thread will go on for a while as they'll prolly take another 2 months till they're done

wow, man ive got a few questions for ya,
are these the hazexkalimist freebies by chance?
and how tall are they now?,
how long did ya veg em for?,
and do you know how long theyve been flowering?

sorry for the 20 Q's,
but ive got a few going now that are rapidly growing out past my regular strain clones, theyre only maybe 2 weeks old from seed and 6-7" tall.. thinking of going 12/12 really soon, i only flower in a showerstall cabinet, but ive got 5-6 to work with (but i doint want them that tall)

@ Alex-F, Thanx for the work and input. I hope you get a keeper or two from the tall girls. I will try to make sure the next ones you for testing will be more homozygous. There may have been some mixing of beans as those were from my first large breeding project.
Good luck and see you in November

Rudedude, thanks mate

Longdivision, well we thirst thought that they were the Arjan's Haze x Kali Mist, but it looks like they're out the Who's your Father mix as there's a real indica in there too. I vegged them for longer than I should have I guess, I just have to see how I mannage them now, should be fun though  I've only got them in 4ltr pots to keep em a bit smaller, and they're about 1,60m now They've been flowering for about 30-35 days, not quite sure exactly I'd have to look it up, but you get the idea. Judging by bud structure I'd say they've got a while to go yet.

MOD, it's all good practice for me, remember I haven't been doing this that long. And if I can pull it off than everyone else should be able to aswell

I'd say that's your best bet Keep em as small as possible this time round, find out what pottential they have, take clones, and do another run according to what you experienced first time round
