Best Strain for.................

Well I am looking for some strains that help control chronic pain, depression, insomina, diabetes and liver disease.

I am 47 yrs. old (will be on the 20th of this mth) have multiple illnesses plus single mother of a 12 yr. old son who has kidney reflux and he has to take meds 3 times a day plus he has to catherize himself 3 times daily. I live on social security disability and can hardly pay rent, electricity and have some left for groceries and medicines.

So my resources are very limited. Can't even afford to buy any "street" smoke to help me thru until I get my grow harvested. Still have at least 50 days or so..........but I was wondering what strains if any, has someone here tried and has found them to be helpful with any of my conditions.

I have tried power plant, SSH, black widow, mango and grapefruit. I really liked the grapefruit - but was told I could only get it in clone form (don't know anyone that has it, tho).

I guess I am like everyone else looking for the miracle cure.

I take methadone for pain control but I am terrified as I have read how hard it is to get off of. My pain dr. seems to indicate that I will have to take this the rest of my life (that's scary) along with the all the other "meds". I personally would love to find a strain that would help eliveate most of my conditions or at least get my mind off of them long enough to sleep and enjoy life a little bit.

I would appreciate any input on this.

Until later

Hi there.

I can suggest several strians that may help some of your conditions. What you shold mostly be looking at are indicas or indica dominent hybrids. Some strians to consider maybe Bogs Lifesaver he has advertised it as a medicinal strian.Other heavy indicas like Legends Ultimate indica or perhaps some white rhino may also be of interest to you.

You may also be interested in some of these links. They are from a Medical Qigong (Chi Kung) academy in China. They specialise in treating Diseases which Western medicine cannot cure. There main site is

www.damo-qigong.net

On that site you will find many links that you may find interesting. They offer free course material as well as coresspondance course material. They also offer workshops and retreats at there centre in Mt Wudang which is situated in Hebei Provence in Southern China. Here is another link which gives detials of the free course material, corespondance course material as well as various workshops and retreats offered through the academy.

https://www.damo-qigong.net/schedule.htm#course

You may wish to contact Master Wang Tao via e mail and explain to him what your conditions are and what medications you currently use.He may be able to give you some advice on alternative remedies such as herbal medicines etc.You can contact him at

tao@damo-qigong.net

He is a very helpful person and usually replys to emails within 24-48 hours.

One more link that may also be of interest to you if you live in the United Kingdom is

https://www.thcweb.net/default6.asp

They are licensed to send medical marijuana to registered patients.I do not know how much they charge or wheter or not the deliver outside of the UK but the site maybe worth a look.

I hope some of this information is of use to you.

"strains that help control chronic pain, depression, insomina, diabetes and liver disease.", I use California Orange and anything Northern lights or crossed with northern lights for chronic pain and insomnia, I have diabetes but weed has yet to help that. I have Hepatitis C and extensive liver damage, can't take pain pills, errr... I won't take pain pills. I already take to many pills.

Good luck, cannibas is the best pain killer I have ever knew.

Ps. Get some train wreck for the latest and greatest every one is raving about. Lifesaver is really good. I've smoked lifesaver many times but I havent grown it, yet.

while you're most likely not going to find a strain that treats all your symptoms, just like most pharmaceuticals you should bind a cocktail of strains that work for you...
in my case i suffer from d.d.d.,spinal stenosis, and two herniated disc in my lower back. i also am a chronic insomniac. in my case, indicas are the way to go. for these i prefer sensi star, but generally an indica is what you are looking for for these symptoms.
i've never experienced depression but do know some patients in this area who swear by morning star for thier depression. she's a hybrid so she also has mild pain relief qualities.
now when i say indica or sativa here i am refering to the qualities of the effect from smoking and not neccesarily the yield, habit, scent, etc...
try a variety of stuff and you'll most likely find what works for you and that will be your keeper(s)
good luck

"The prestige of government has undoubtedly been lowered considerably by the prohibition law. For nothing is more destructive of respect for the government and the law of the land than passing laws which cannot be enforced. It is an open secret that the dangerous increase of crime in this country is closely connected with this."
Albert Einstein, "My First Impression of the U.S.A.", 1921

"Prohibition will work great injury to the cause of temperance. It is a species of intemperance within itself, for it goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A Prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded."

Like the member above, I have Degenerative Spinal Stenosis, right through the spine. Have had two extensive Neuro-surgical procedures, but after time they have left me worse off than I was.
Indicas I find too "heavy" for daytime use and prefer a well Sativa dominated hybrid like Blues (UK clone only Skunk phenotype from late '80s) or similar. Then I move to Indicas in the evening. Most of them work fine to help relaxation none stand out as especially useful. I find Cannabis on its own not very good at analgesia, but mixed with good analgesic medication, its superb!

I was always wondering what strain did what. My ol' man has hep C an im trying to get him off pillz but were in a illegal state so they would cancel the transplant asap if they found out.I heard there's already 3 cases of cancer that weed has treated. I also heard theres a strain out there that helps people with hep c. Any1 kno that strain or strains to help with insomnia, full body pain, and now trying to him off methadone.
