Few Questions about Mandala seeds

First off, I'd like to say I've heard nothing but good about mandala and the strains sound very mouth watering (and look great). I plan on ordering at least the hashberry, sounds like a real promising strain. For the price, I'll probably wind up sampling quiet a few of the strains : )~ But anyway, had a few questions.

My first question, I've read up on the site about the genetics of the plants. All (or most?) strains are crosses of landrace/IBL strains? Also, all the seeds are F1's of the crosses? This doesn't reflect my view of the strains or anything if they are F1's at all, just curious as some of the strain descriptions talk about better breeding and what not and its kind of confusing as to wether its been inbred or wether better mothers/fathers have been found for the crosses or whatever.

Secondly, I'm more of an indica person. I'm recovered from panic disorder and agoraphobia and sativa's tend to make me feel a little uneasy. I like indicas, but at the same time I like having some head high along with my stone just not to the point I feely racey and/or shakey. So I guess it'd be better to say I prefer hybrids that are more indica dominant (wide spectrum of highs to try and pick out a favorite anyway, lol). So, my question is which of the strains have a more indica dominant high or which ones seam to be more fitting for anxiety? I read a smoke report saying hashberry seamed like a good high for anxiety.

Anyway, thanks ahead of time everyone. Looking forward to trying out the hashberry and probably another mandala strain (or two) : )

Hi BubbleBoi,

Welcome to our support board!

Our strains are F1 hybrids and not inbred land race strains. Each Mandala strains contains a certain percentage of land race genetics from the region specified in the strain details. We have to ensure that the strains meet all the requirements for modern growing...and these are very extensive!

We have several strains that are valued for their calming and anti-anxiety effects. Sadhu and Hashberry are the more indica dominant strains and both are recommendable for this purpose. You will find that both have a balanced effect and you generally get a clear, inspiring high at the onset mixed in with a very pleasant body stone. There are several smoke reports which you can check in the "smoke report" section of the forum.
Satori is also anti-anxiety (and good against depression too)...never heard any reports that this sativa caused heart-racing, etc.

Hope this helps and thanks for your interest!

Mike

Sounds good, got the hashberry on the way. The smoke reports I've read make it sound like a strain I'd really like. Gonna do some digging around on the forums and see what the satori and sadhu are all about : ) I do like sativas, as long as its not a racey high to it. Get a lot more good laughs off sativas imo, heh. But anyway, thanks for the help and advice Mike... gonna give the hashberry a go for now, feeling confident I'm gonna like this strain and I'm sure I'll try out more mandala strains in the near future as well. Probably give a grow diary on the hashberry when I get it in also.

Oh, one more question... does the hashberry scrog well? Current setup is DWC Scrog... no prob to remove the screen and raise the light though, thanks again : )

That's a good question.
Haven't seen a SCROG yet, but I can't think of any reason why she shouldn't SCROG well.
This would be a forum premiere - go for it!

My outdoor hasberry has some clones taken from the main shoot as well as the main shoot. and it spread out beautifully. all of the remaining "colas" are gigantic and will probobly yeild an OZ each. IMHO it would be a brilliant scroger.

Best,

OL

Hi there bubbleboi, im in the same boat as you with regards to anxiety disorders, ive got some satori and hashberry on the go and look forward to blooming them soon. I have also grown the kalichakra, and i found that she was great for my depression and to help me get out of the door, very uplifting and i didnt get any paranoia at all or the wierd uneasieness that some sats give me.... Im not saying it'll be right for you but that was my experience. she was very easy to grow and handled a lot of abuse from me(im by nature a very clumsy person) and yieldedwell, i have an old thread here....dont be put off by the size in my pics, that was my fault from vegging too long.
Mandalas stuff is great, the seeds germinate fast like theyre late for evoloution lol and seem sem to handle stress well, the satori just got attacked by my clumsiness and laughed it off saying "ha, puny human, think you can slow me down with ur clumsy ass". My hasberries are so unifom at this stage((2 1/2 weeks old from poking ther heads above ground)) its unreal and the amount of roots flying out of the 4 inch rockwool cube from the bottom and right up the sides is phenomenal.
So mate, from my experience so far with mandala, the genetics are top dollar quality, but at a price every1 can afford...and thats something we could all do with eh lol.
best`wishes with ur future mandala grow,
Be lucky

Just put in an order on SB for a pack of Hashberry myself. Since the price was so low for seeds from a breeder that I've heard nothing but good things about, I considered getting one pack of every variety. But because this is my first order with SB (which I've also heard nothing but great things about, except of course for the random rare mishaps), I've decided to see how smooth the first order goes before putting in a bigger order.

Can't wait!
