Motorcyclists..where r u?

If u ride......hit this thread up!

If ur comfortable saying what u ride......please do. DO u hit any rallys? I ride. It's a cruiser (not saying what type cuz BIG Brother may be watching LoL)with 18 inch ape hangers & it has been bored out to 1800 CC.

Been to the Keys run in Fl., Biketoberfest & Bike Week in Daytona & Leesburg bike fest also in FL. I will be hittin Rollin Thunder in DC this yr as well as a few others prolly.

Rolling Thunder in DC is a ride that I will try to make every year for the rest of my life. It is a rally that truly stands for something!! Hope to make Sturgis this coming year or the next.

Riding the big "H" for over 40 years, most models over the years. Im in Cali, but I rode to Sturgis for the 50th in '69. Always did the Redwood run, Bridgeport, and a lot lot more.

Alas, I sold my last bike two years ago - Drs. orders, and he was right. An FLHTCUI.

Keep the rubber side down.

What's up!!!

Great to know there are fellow riders in ICmag.com! I have a Royal Enfield 350 cc which I use to do hill station marathons etc. Not much of a highway cruiser tho....more into cross country riding thru off beat paths.

WOuld LOVE to drive a Harley but it's too expensive :(

Well, Ive ridden in a Minsk, a Jawa 250cc (1972), and lately I've been riding on a 350cc Royal Enfield (1988)

Had my first motorcycle at age 11; a Bridgestone 90.

Sold my last of two FLHSs a coupla' years back due to other priorities in life.

Several bikes in between those listed above.

Crossed Canada several times on the first FLHS, rode the second one up I-5 and the Alaska Hwy from near Tiajuana, and did the SW U.S. on another bike years back. Mid-west on a Yamaha R5C 350 custom when I was 16.

Never got into the crowd scene of rallies, etc.

Open road, quiet camping, fishing, visiting, and long thoughtful miles. Put 20,000 miles on my first FLHS in a year and a half. I miss that bike on occasion.

There'll be another somewhere down the road.

Yeah, I feel ya on the Rally thing. I'm not crazy bout them either but it depends on the company I'm riding with at that time. Last time I went to Biketoberfest, I stayed in a campgound the whole time & never even ventured close to Main Street. I had some good company, a Saloon at the campground & Bikini contest at the campgound too....so need to go anywhere else LoL. When it comes to Rallies....I do want to experience them all at least once. Rolling Thunder is not a regular bike rally tho! It's a ride for POW/MIA's & that is something very close to my heart. It's always on Memorial Day weekend in DC & the bike parade ends at the Vietnam War Memorial. The Run For The Wall also stops a vet hospitals on the way to DC, so time is spent with some hospital bound Vets that could always use a little cheering up.

Also, if any1 does go to certain rallies....maybe some of us could have a little "gathering" if someone else is heading that way.

Helmet side up....always

>>>Helmet side up....always<<<

No helmet laws in Alaska.... yet.

But as a friend of mine once said while leaving a choice break spot in Canada, just off the Ak. Hwy., feeling the effects of a memorable time-out, "Stay vertical, dude!" ;^>)

add'l edit: "no helmet laws for the driver; passengers are required to have a helmet. Drivers are required to have eye gear. I always tell folks that it's that way so that if you get in a serious wreck, one of you can see, and the other can think, and between the two of you, you can maybe find your way home.

So what does the Dodge Viper team do when its " bored "?

Why toss a viper engine [ 10 cyl, 500hp* ] into a motorcycle. Rumor is Dodge is going to make a few of these with a $250K pricetag.

The Dodge Tomahawk. * 0-60 in 2.5 seconds with a top speed well over any you would imagine would actually keep you on the bike with just your arms.
